Hi friends, community, chosen family, and magic-makers ✨
I’m Jennifer Day, owner and creator behind Stellar Soireés Event Creation, a very small business doing some very BIG, love-filled things for the Gig Harbor and Tacoma communities.
This message comes from a place of deep humility, reflection, and enormous gratitude. Before anything else, I want to say this clearly and loudly: THANK YOU.
Thank you to every single person who has encouraged me, checked in on me, lifted me up, stepped in, stepped up, and—quite literally—taken the reins when I needed help. From social media wranglers and inbox tamers, to planners, communicators, day-of helpers, and the folks who showed up with their hands, hearts, and time—you are the reason these events exist. Truly. 💖
Over the past couple of years, the high standards I set for myself as an event coordinator—my “white glove” approach—haven’t always been met. Timely communication, thoughtful follow-ups, and intentional thank-yous are values I hold dear, and I know some of that fell behind. It’s difficult to admit, but it matters to me to say it clearly: I’m truly sorry.
In April of 2023, I was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes. I made a brief, limited adjustment to my workload, but it wasn’t sustained, and I soon returned to operating at full capacity. Over time, the realities of managing significant medical needs affected my availability and follow-through in ways that impacted the people who support these events and place their trust in me. Your support has never gone unnoticed — even when my actions didn’t fully reflect the gratitude I felt in my bones.
Behind the scenes, I currently manage the majority of operations and communication for my events. That includes:

…and yes, a partridge in a pear tree 😉

Alongside that, I serve as the creator, vendor coordinator, producer, and problem-solver-in-chief for these events 💫
This isn’t shared for sympathy—it’s shared for clarity. Transparency matters to me. Trust is built with honesty. 🤍
What I am asking for—and what I am endlessly grateful for—is community and grace. I am profoundly thankful for the friends and collaborators who help with social media, planning, communication, and day-of support, and for those who gently remind me that I don’t have to do everything alone. You have carried this work with me, and at times for me, and I will never forget that.
Many thoughtful changes are ahead — structural shifts, organizational growth, and movement toward a more sustainable future. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve worked myself into exhaustion. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve grown. 🌱
Pride Gig Harbor, Pride Gig Harbor's "Pride in the Park", Rainbow Roller Disco, Wild Feminine Faire - Gig Harbor, and the Tacoma Halloween Parade exist because of deep care—care for community, for visibility, for joy, safety, and connection. That purpose continues to guide every decision I make.
With Stellar Soirées, my commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for all humans 🫶—especially Women-Owned, Women-Led, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities—has never wavered, and it never will.
This next chapter is rooted in gratitude, balance, transparency, and care—for the community and for the humans doing the work behind the scenes.
To everyone who has shown up, stayed curious, offered grace, taken the reins, answered a DM, posted a flyer, ran an errand, or simply believed in me when things were messy: thank you. You are the magic.
And to anyone I may have disappointed, pi**ed off, miscommunicated with, or unintentionally hurt along the way—I am truly sorry. I am committed to always reflecting, apologizing, changing behavior and moving forward to make our little world more loving and sparkly. ✨
