I dont always agree with the information given in the nutrition world.
But this is one I can stand behind 🌟

It’s incredibly important to have a good intake of healthy well sourced animal protein.

Your blood sugar, neurotransmitters, muscles, bones will be happy 😃

Also sharing a recipe that I prepared for a 🎄holiday nutrition talk I gave, the ingredients together had me questioning how good it would be and people came back for multiple servings.

It was a huge hit 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I highly encourage you to make it!

I am making this again on Christmas Day 🧑‍🎄

Scalloped Sweet Potatoes 🍠

2 sweet potato
1/4 yellow onion, thinly sliced
2tbsp coconut oil
1/4 cup almond flour
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp thyme
3/4 tsp sea salt
2/3 pumpkin puree

1️⃣ Peel and slice sweet potatoes to approximately 1/8 thick or use a mandoline.
Thinly slice the onions and set aside

2️⃣ Grease baking dish with a bit of coconut oil (9x9 baking dish for 6 servings)

3️⃣Create overlapping layers of sweet potato slices in the dish and sprinkle the onions between each layer. Continue until all sweet potato and onion is used up

4️⃣Preheat oven to 400 degrees

5️⃣In a saucepan, heat coconut oil on medium heat. When melted, add almond flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes.

6️⃣Add coconut milk, pumpkin, garlic powder, thyme and salt. Whisk until combined and warm, about 5 minutes.

7️⃣ Pour the sauce over the sweet potatoes. Top with any leftover sprigs of thyme or a dash of dried thyme.

8️⃣Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes, uncovered, until sweet potatoes are cooked through.

ENJOY 😉

🛑 Is Apeel appealing?

🌟As the organization touts sustainability, we as consumers are now fed another invisible chemical created to “preserve produce and reduce waste”

🙋🏻‍♀️Nope, no thanks

Another layer of chemicals added to our produce that has zero studies on the potential health implications associated with prolonged exposure ☠️

Apeel has been found to contain 5 heavy metals 😢
✅mercury
✅arsenic
✅palladium
✅lead
✅cadmium
✅toluene
✅hexane

Along with 2 petrochemicals…there is no “washing” this chemical off 😡

Apeel can be used on both organic and non organic produce🍎

As of November 13, 2023 the following stores have shared they are no longer buying Apeel produce.

▪️Natural Grocers
▪️TraderJoes
▪️Costco
▪️Publix
▪️some produce at Kroger but not all

Repost from

Tag and share this with your friends! Here’s why I’ve been avoiding Aspartame for years:

⚠️ Aspartame is an artificial ingredient. It’s not real food. Aspartame was originally created in a lab during pharmaceutical development. It was found to be sweet by accident when a researcher licked his finger!

⚠️ A previous 2022 study in France found that people are more likely to get cancer if they consume artificial sweeteners (such as Aspartame). Specifically breast and obesity-related cancers.

⚠️Aspartame can contribute to weight gain by encouraging sugar cravings. When you eat something sweet – even when it has no calories – your brain is tricked into wanting more calories because your body is not getting enough energy (i.e. calories) to be satisfied.

⚠️Researchers in Texas discovered that drinking diet sodas may expand waist size, which is a risk factor in type 2 diabetes.

Instead of buying products with artificial sweeteners like Aspartame, choose those that are sweetened with real food and natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, and monk fruit.

Intro

Welome! I am Stephanie Kreun, Holistic Nutrition Coach, married for 17 years to an amazing man that has supported me through all my ventures...and there have been ALOT! I am the momma to 3 wild and crazy boys that keep me on the go, keep me ever learning, and always pursuing opportunities to show them how to create and be your best at all things in life.

I began in the health industry 20 plus years ago in college when I pursued my education at Illinois State University in Exercise Science and Nutrition. I began teaching exercise classes as a way to keep the freshman 15 off and pay the tuition and living expenses of college. I deeply fell in love with teaching and leading individuals through their health journey. After 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry came to a quick end because of massive downsizing, I went back to what I know. Wellness! I pursued additional education in holistic nutrition and completed a Holistic Wellness Practitioner program from Southwest Institute of Holistic Arts. My ability to connect with people and build relationships quickly has allowed me to build a successful clientele with individuals around the world.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Much love to you!
