I get asked a good bit about the indicator that change color when used to sterilize instruments. If they turn to the correct color are my instruments sterile? My answer is not necessarily. The indicator is designed to change color when a certain temperature is reached. The best way to ensure your instruments are sterile is to use a spore testing system. These are available as an in-house or mail-in spore testing kits. For more detail information on spore testing check out the internet.
