8 dozens of eggs and working on that 9th dozen…. The hens are showing out after a year of freeloading, lol. We currently have 6 dozen up for grabs at $3 a dozen. Let me know if you need any!

Our little Rae got to help out with the Annual Washington County Steer and Heifer show today. We don’t currently have any cows, but based on today we might need one or two, lol.

Let me just start off by saying that a lot has been going on since Farm Day at the Millry High School. Since Farm Day, we have added 3 new goats(2 of them are bottle babies), and have had a set of twin ram lambs born on our farm. Oh, plus are chickens have FINALLY decided to start laying eggs. Last week alone-they laid 57 eggs between the 11 hens we have. Here are some photos of all of the new critters with their details under each photo.

Triplet-born lambs have the option to be raised by their own mother instead of being fostered by another ewe or fed with a bottle.

Thanks to the Millry High School FFA for having us again this year! It’s always fun to teach people about the animals we have on our farm. I’ll post some pictures a little later today of the critters I took with us this year. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks to all our FFA members for another great Farm Day to end our FFA week. Thanks to all the Millry High School staff, our parents and volunteers who made this day possible. Special thanks to our special guests Funtime Events Services, Plant Hill Farms LLC, Serenity Valley Homestead and Deogies Backyard-Rescue

Hey everyone!!!!! There has been a change for the Jordan’s Way event tonight. They have cancelled the event for tonight because they can’t go live from the Deogies Backyard-Rescue page. The Deogies page was put on a 24 hour restriction for some unknown reason(maybe from posting the event so much).

Now with all of that being said…. We ARE still going to have an event!!!! I will be going live from right here on this page. We’re still going to start at 6pm and hopefully last all the way to 9pm. We have worked so hard to have this event, and by jolly we’re doing it one way or another! 😂

Now, I have a HUGE favor to ask of everyone… When you see the live event-please share it and invite as many people as you can. We are a small rescue, and need all the help we can get.

We appreciate all the help we can get, and we appreciate all of you!

Come see this awesome dude(Donut) Friday, February 23, 2024 at Millry High School FFA’s farm day!
A bit more on Donut: Donut is a Golden Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben (say that 3x fast). He’s a pretty chill dude that loves to spend his days strutting around and munching on snacks. He’s also very vocal… If the wind blows the wrong way in the middle of the night-he’s gonna let you know about it, lol.
Anyhow, to learn some facts about this breed, check out the facts on the screenshot that I’ve added from Cackle Hatchery.
We can’t wait to see everyone on Friday!
