🌟 WELCOME OUR NEWEST THERAPIST 🌟

We are excited to announce that Jessica Ganus Koen, LMSW has officially joined the team at A Better You Counseling Services, LLC - and she is now accepting new clients!

Jessica is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a strong background in working with children, adolescents, and families, especially those navigating behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and life stressors. She brings years of hands-on experience providing individual and group counseling, developing behavior plans, and collaborating closely with families, schools, and community agencies.

Currently, Jessica serves as a Behavior Intervention Specialist with the Wayne County School District, where she works with children ages 3–14 in both general and special education settings. Her work includes creating Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) while supporting students’ emotional and behavioral success at school and home.

Jessica’s professional background also includes:
• Hospital Social Work, supporting patients and families during medical crises
• Forensic Interviewing & Child Advocacy, working with children impacted by abuse
• Child Protection & Family Services, advocating for safety, stability, and family support

She is deeply committed to ethical, client-centered care and has extensive experience working with children and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Jessica is passionate about helping children feel safe, understood, and supported while empowering families with the tools they need to thrive.

• Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow)
• Location: Gilbertown, Alabama
• Schedule: Flexible weekday daytime hours, afternoons hours available (no weekends required)
• Population: Children, adolescents, adults, and families
Responsibilities
• Provide individual/family counseling
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and insurance standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support holistic care
