Chronic stress can take a toll on your heart. Deep breathing, time outdoors, connecting with loved ones, or simply resting when you need it can all help. Your heart needs rest and compassion too.

If there’s one thing this year made clear, it’s this: when our neighbors face health care challenges, our community shows up.

In 2025, we proudly served 144 individuals, providing more than $220,000 in direct support to people navigating some of life’s hardest moments. Every dollar was invested with intention — in people, in healing, and in the belief that no one should face illness alone. The numbers tell part of the story. The real impact lives in quieter places: relief, stability, hope, and the deep comfort of knowing someone cares.

This year, total revenue reached $1,426,367, fueled by remarkable community engagement and generosity; total expenses for the year were $758,955. Our overhead rate stands at 18%, well below the national average — a reflection of our commitment to fiscal responsibility and mission-focused stewardship. We take seriously the trust you place in us, and we work hard to ensure your generosity goes where it matters most.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed this year — event attendees, sponsors, donors, volunteers, advocates, and partners. Your generosity and dedication have allowed us to expand our reach and strengthen our impact.

Thank you for being part of this compassionate, connected community.

Since 2017, JC Reynolds has been a steady and insightful presence on the Foundation’s Board of Directors, serving on the Finance Committee and helping guide the responsible stewardship of funds that directly impact lives in our community. JC stepped down from the Board in December.

JC’s commitment to health and wellness is deeply personal. “I believe it’s important to support the health and wellness of our community,” he shares. The Cancer Care Committee is especially close to John’s heart as his late wife had cancer—he understands how critical it is to have strong, local resources and support systems in place.

When he’s not making a difference in the boardroom, you’ll find JC enjoying the great outdoors. Nature, like community service, keeps him grounded and inspired.

He lives by the wise words of Thomas Edison: “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

JC knows that real impact often comes from hard work behind the scenes—and he’s never been afraid to roll up his sleeves for a cause that matters.

We are grateful for JC’s leadership, perspective, and heart these past nine years. His dedication powered the mission of the CHF—and our community is so much better for it. Thank you, JC.

Beginning in 2026, new federal tax rules will change how charitable deductions work but giving wisely can still provide meaningful benefits. The law adds a new charitable deduction—up to $1,000 for individuals or $2,000 for couples—for those who don’t itemize and take the standard deduction, while higher-income donors may want to plan gifts carefully to maximize deductions under new limits. As these changes take effect, we encourage donors to talk with their financial advisors and consider giving strategies that make the most impact for both you and the causes you care about.

💗 Thank You, Campbell County Health! 💗

A special thank you to Campbell County Health for sponsoring our annual Cancer Care Survivor Dinner. Because of the generosity of sponsors like CCH, this meaningful evening is offered free of charge to our survivors and their guests.

Every March, the Community Health Foundation has the honor of hosting this special dinner for individuals who have received support from our Cancer Care Committee. It’s a night filled with gratitude, connection, and celebration — recognizing the strength and resilience of those who inspire us every single day.

The Survivor Dinner is a beautiful reminder that in our community, no one walks through cancer alone.

We are excited to welcome Mindy McKillop to the Community Health Foundation Board of Directors!

Mindy was drawn to the Foundation’s mission because she understands how overwhelming health challenges can be. “Someone’s health is such an important issue to focus on,” she shares. “It’s scary to go through health scares when the unknown is in front of you. Any help people can get during that time is incredibly beneficial.” Her heart for supporting neighbors during uncertain moments makes her a wonderful addition to our board.

While Mindy is new to serving in this role, she has long admired the Foundation’s work—especially the Festival of Trees. She attended her first auction at just 16 years old and remembers being amazed by the energy, generosity, and impact of the event. “It was mind-blowing to watch and see what was going on,” she recalls. “Every year, it’s so impressive.” Today, she sees how every program and initiative of the Foundation plays a meaningful role in strengthening our community.

Outside of her board service, Mindy enjoys reading (she’s a hardcover book kind of person!), camping in the summer, riding RZRs, and spending time with her family. Even though they work together, she says they genuinely love doing life together.

Her personal motto? “Live life to the fullest. You never know what tomorrow’s going to bring.”

We’re grateful for Mindy’s passion, perspective, and commitment to serving our community. Welcome, Mindy!

In February, seven neighbors received Hope Source grants totaling nearly $7,500 to access mental health counseling. And this month, we saw more of the same stories:
• A student without insurance
• Individuals facing very high deductibles
• Someone choosing the cash rate because it was more affordable — but still difficult to manage
• An employer who changed insurance providers, leaving no local mental health clinics covered

These aren’t rare situations. They’re happening right here in our community.

After reviewing the numbers, we’ve seen that demand for Hope Source assistance has grown nearly 50% year over year — reflecting both increased awareness and increased need for mental health services. While we’re encouraged that more individuals are reaching out for help, this growth also means we must continue strengthening the program to meet the rising demand.

To help sustain Hope Source for the future, we are hosting our first-ever Bids of Hope Online Auction, May 10–16 during Mental Health Awareness Week. You can support by:
• Donating an auction item
• Creating a themed basket
• Becoming an event sponsor ($100-$500): newcommunityhealth.org/bids-of-hope

Every sponsorship and every donated item helps us continue providing timely, confidential counseling assistance to individuals and families in our community.

Since launching in 2023, Hope Source has helped more than 150 neighbors access over $144,200 in mental health counseling across Campbell County and surrounding communities.

Your partnership ensures we can keep hope accessible when it’s needed most.

If you’d like to contribute an item, basket, or sponsorship, we would love to connect with you. DM us, or contact us at info@newcommunityhealth.org or 307.257.7057.
