👀 Adulting and Adjusting is HARD:

I’ve had a few people approach me and ask about my workouts/routine since going to night shift. Unfortunately my schedule changes every week and I’m still trying to find my groove with my diet and sleep, and have had minimal opportunities to hit the gym. Everything I was afraid of by taking this night contract (losing my routine, losing muscle, gaining weight, seasonal depression, binging when getting off work, less sleep, more fatigue… etc.) it’s all starting to creep back up.

On top of that, I twisted my right knee last week, the knee I previously had surgery on, and could barely walk for a couple days. Had an X-ray Friday which showed pretty gnarly arthritis for a 27 year old and received a steroid injection to the joint which has helped tremendously. I see my doctor tomorrow to make sure it’s just that and nothing more. As someone who has always had a physically strong lower body, I feel defeated. 😞

All this being said, my strength and wellness journey is NOT over but has definitely taken a beating.. which I knew would happen. I worked really hard to get a good routine down the first portion of this year, and I’ve had a lot of support around me! Once the inflammation in my knee settles it’s game on!!!

I’m being honest with where I’m at because this is what happens when you have a break in your routine, it’s hard to get back up, but we can do it. I’m still remembering my WHY & remembering where I started in January! I’m trying not to beat myself up because I know why I had to switch things up. I put my family and our finances first so that we could save for some bigger things we have planned around the corner. Unfortunately this meant putting a few of my recent priorities on the back burner.

Your support, prayers, and encouragement mean the world to me. I just wanted to update those of you that have been wondering why I went MIA. I’m determined to get a routine back soon and to get my body back on track! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Haven’t posted in awhile.. unfortunately I’m having to put a pause on my personal training sessions for awhile. Due to schedule changes, trying to save $$$, and other personal reasons. 🖐🏼

That being said I’m NOT stopping my goals and will be working out on my own time and stepping my meal-prep back up. Covid set me back tremendously and going back to night shift is going to be a challenge on my body. 🤧

I’ve worked too hard to bail out now. Remembering my, “WHY” is what keeps me going and remembering where I started in January keeps me motivated to keep those lbs off. 👏🏻

This week I’m struggling. If we’re being honest.

I over did it on arms last week and my right shoulder hurts with every small movement. This limits what I can do in workouts and at my job. I’m annoyed. Knowing it’ll get better with time but I’m not a patient person.

My diet has fallen because of back to back vacations and lack of sleep and/or motivation. I’m frustrated with myself because set-backs are my worst enemy. However, I’m proud that I’ve now gone more than half a year of working out and can still see the definition and changes to my body.

I’m posting this picture because although I can see positive changes in my body.. I can also see what needs to be worked on.

Time for a refresh. I’m amping up my meal prep. Increasing my daily vitamins/aminos/greens/protein. I’m going to push myself in my workouts but also let my arm heal correctly. I’m going to keep myself motivated!!!

Strictly for the Wellness Fam… we’ve all had days like today, feeling sore and bitter. But what’re we doing to help maintain muscle growth and fat loss so that days like this don’t control you? I’d like nothing more to just lay around all day but that’s not going to positively impact my body. Here is my morning regimen. I don’t do this everyday now but am starting to pick back up, and at the peak of my weight loss I was. What changes are you making to promote your overall wellness??? 🏋🏼‍♀️

Next three work-day meal prep. (Breakfast,lunch, and two snacks) Including supplements, pre-workout and recovery aminos. Also, Max Gain protein powder.. finally found one I like and can stomach.

After three weeks of back to back illness It’s time to get back in the gains game. 💃🏻

Haven’t posted in a few days because I’ve felt like 💩 since Monday. Either food poisoning or a stomach bug hit me hard and has left me sore, drained, and dehydrated… so I sat this week out. Proud of my hubby for going to our workouts’ despite my sickly self laying on the couch. Good vibes are appreciated as I have to go back to work tomorrow and can hopefully get back on my normal routine next week‼️

☕️ If you’re like me and NEEEEEED coffee everyday let me get you hooked on something! The Premier and Adkins protein coffees ARE SO YUMMY.

☕️ Also, adding caramel or vanilla protein shakes to your coffee as creamer is a much healthier option than the sugar and fat packed creamers out there. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the fancy coffee places, but you could spend $8 on 1 sugar loaded coffee OR $8 on a 4 pack of protein shakes.
