Adaptive Prosthetics & Orthotics llc is headquartered in Glastonbury, CT. We specialize in Artificial Limbs, Custom Orthopedic Bracing, Compression Garments and Mastectomy Prostheses. Being a local independent provider we take pride in the individualized attention and personal care we provide to our clients. We have on site fabrication to achieve quick turnaround time and immediate adjustments. We also have a gym on site to help you reach your maximum potential. Since 1997, David Hewett and his team have provided custom devices throughout Connecticut and Southern New England. We truly care about your recovery. That’s why we go the extra mile to make our care affordable. Most services are covered through your insurance. We have locations in Glastonbury, Hartford, Norwich, and Waterford CT. Other locations in Pittsfield MA, Bennington VT, and Providence RI. Our goal is to allow you to reach the highest level of function possible. We want to get you back to your regular daily activities as quickly and safely as possible. We know not everyone will be able to run a marathon, but we will make every effort to put you in the best components to suit your needs. ALPS Smart Seal liner allows a non-constrictive hypobaric suspension of the residual limb. It has been engineered using HD Gel and covered by a limited vertical stretch fabric in the distal area for high stability within the socket.

Willow Wood Alpha Hybrid Select BK Locking Liner
The Alpha Hybrid Liner allows for easy bending and flexing of the knee, controlled pistoning, and easy donning. Its Hybrid Gel is perfectly paired with a one-way stretch fabric that effectively controls pistoning without incorporating a distal matrix. This fabric, engineered exclusively for WillowWood, allows circumferential stretch, yet maintains liner elongation within specified limits. A flexible panel incorporates an abrasion-resistant fabric allowing the limb to easily flex without pulling and tightening at the knee. This panel and the thin gel behind the knee allows for comfort while sitting or bending for extended periods of time. A new socket should be fabricated for best use of the Alpha Hybrid Liner with progressive gel style.
