"Going Raw" is not part of my personal vernacular; I did not "go vegan" 45 years ago and "go raw" in 1999 for ANY reason other than my own DEMONSTRABLE and quantifiable health and physical performance.
Since I already had an established one-on-one real fitness (not fake popular fitness rhetoric) facility where I also taught real nutrition (focused solely on cause and effect based on measurable health and physical performance), I strongly felt I had an obligation to share the spectacular health results that I had been experiencing as a result of me transitioning completely off cooked whole plant-based meals to RAW whole plant-based meals.
Are the gourmet raw dishes I made for my Food Plan clients the end-all/ be-all for health? Are they the answer to actual health? No, the final step in the transition is fruit (primarily the sweet fruits and to a lesser extent the sub-acid fruits, and tender greens. But that first major step (before the fruit/ greens culmination) is a huge one. Which is why 99% of the masses never attempt it nor do they even know anything about it.
But the key here is TRANSITION. And before you even get started with "getting healthy" at all you must FIRST understand and grasp what is meant by "health" which is a nebulous term tossed around as if it has several meanings. It only can mean one thing> REAL health (as I call it in order to distinguish it's majesty from the lowly and phony loose term "health" tossed around in modern society.
And that is this: Real health is the complete elimination of all symptoms all the way down to the tiniest. The chronic disease process must be non-existent in the body. This can only come about when all residue is eliminated. Down to the vital cellular level.
Remember: Vitality = Energy - Residue.
Only raw whole foods (primarily the king of foods -fruits) can supply energy and nutrition with the least residue. By far. It's not even close compared to what we've been indoctrinated to believe are "foods."
Think if it as fuel for your vehicle. The more residue the less performance and the faster the machine breaks down, freezes and and rots. All the pings and knocks are symptoms of the wrong fuel. Real health is as simple as that. Yes it is. YES. IT. IS. Stop with the "doctor told me this" and "He or she said that." Especially when it comes to health, PhD means "piled higher & deeper."
Transitioning to actual real health is the key to the plan. Don't forget that you have to transition psychologically as well; it is even more important because humans have been conditioned not to trust their bodies or instincts but their programmed minds. That leads directly to ill health, suffering and premature death. And lots of PhDs to somehow make people feel "better" about it.
No. That was not for me. It's embarrassing to be part of such a non health care system of beliefs.
To make a long story about an incredible self-journey and adventure short, it started as a 3-day per week "let's see what happens" with this malarky to a 30-day experiment, to a One -Year then 5-Year Experiment, then a 10-Year Experiment, and then a 20-Year Experiment and then longer.
Here's a sample of what people said (all gleaned from phone messages that they volunteered when nobody was looking) about the transitional raw gourmet food that I made in my commercially certified kitchen in Glen Head NY decades ago, and offered to those who wanted an easy way to just "set it and forget it." All they had to do was enjoy the rawgasmic deliciousness of food that some even said "tasted better than cooked." (That was a common statement and it still makes me smile since I know that I myself NEEDED this "rabbit food" raw food to be so enticing and so hearty in some dishes, to get my attention and make me WANT IT.
Only then did I know that I would stick to it long enough to finally , for the first time in my life, experience what it felt like to actually be healthy. Normal is all it is! What a shame that the majority can never experience health. I'm serious. it saddens me. After over 20 years of never suffering even a sniffle or a pimple or waking up tired, or suffering ANY Of over 80 common symptoms of the chronic disease process, I now take it all for granted. Real health is just the way it should be. Simple and normal.
