                                            74 The Jacket Trunk Show
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9 | 9:00AM-3:00PM
74 The Jacket is where vintage inspiration meets modern luxury. Founded by Chicago-base designer Debra Baum, the brand began with reimagined military jackets and has grown into full collections defined by timeless silhouettes, bold details, and an effortless balance of masculine
and feminine. Each piece is produced locally in Chicago in limited runs, making every jacket or collar as rare as it is versatile.
With detachable collars, vintage brooches, and fabrics chosen for their richness and longevity, 74 The Jacket transforms the familiar into something unforgettable. These are not just outerwear pieces — they are conversation starters, heirlooms in the making, and the jacket you
didn’t know you needed until you can’t imagine your wardrobe without it.
About the Founder
Debra Baum has always had a knack for taking something classic and making it feel entirely new. With more than two decades in retail, design, hospitality, and vintage collecting, she bringsa multidimensional perspective to fashion that is both instinctive and refined. What began as a vintage military jacket she styled with a fur collar and brooch quickly became her signature look—so striking that strangers on the streets of Chicago and New York couldn’t help but stop and ask where it was from. That moment of curiosity was the spark for 74 The Jacket.
For Debra, it always starts with vintage. A jacket, a fur collar, a hidden detail—when she finds a piece she loves, it becomes the blueprint for something new. Luxe, seasonless fabrics are layered in, detachable collars and vintage brooches are added, and the silhouette is reborn for
today. Once the fabric is gone, it’s gone; the shape stays, but the story evolves. New designs only emerge when she uncovers another vintage treasure worthy of reimagining. It’s a process that feels more like collecting than designing—each piece rooted in history,
transformed with intention, and made to be worn on repeat.
