Staff and program management will be working remotely and will remain available during normal business hours, as best as possible.

This decision was made with one priority in mind: protecting people; our staff, your families, the people we support, first responders, and our local communities.

Please use this time to stay off the roads, stay warm, and take care of yourselves and those around you.

Thank you for your flexibility and continued commitment to one another and to the people we support.

Stay safe!

It was in February 1972, that investigative reporter Geraldo Rivera's expose' "Willowbrook: The Last Great Disgrace" first aired, exposing the conditions at Willowbrook State School, the largest institution for people with disabilities in the United States. The exposé shocked the nation and forever changed the treatment of people with disabilities across the country.

In recognition of this landmark moment, the Council on Developmental Disabilities produced a half-hour documentary highlighting the importance of lessons learned, positive change that resulted, and the legacy of Willowbrook. The Path Forward: Remembering Willowbrook is a celebration of inclusion for people with disabilities in all aspects of community life.

Their legacy reminds us that progress is built through advocacy, persistence, and community; and that our responsibility is to carry this work forward with intention and care. 📚🖤
