Many of our families are scrambling as Covid era protections for children and families expire. Jerrica beautifully describes the agonizing experiences families endured at this time. Thank you Jerrica for speaking up on behalf of autistic people in colorado. Pediatric Psychology Services and Swann Clinic for Behavioral Health are working with families to address this problem.

Dyslexia is a common disorder we are asked to test for. While the name has changed, characteristics of the diagnosis have been constant over many years. Phonological awareness and processing are often indicators of this diagnosis. Mary S. Knutson, MA., CCC-SLP is a speech therapist here at Pediatric Psychology Services. She rounds out our learning disorder and neuropsychological evaluations with measures that are designed to assess for dyslexia. Her speech therapy and masters in reading designations are immensely helpful with this process.
