Kathy Bucholska has been on her personal and professional spiritual quest since the mid 1980s. Her journey began trying to resolve personal health issues and led her to study and practice many healing modalities such as Reiki, Reconnection Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Active Dowsing and Quantum Touch. She is certified in hypnosis and past life regressions, attended many spiritually based

conferences at the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE) and obtained a MA degree from Atlantic University in Transpersonal Mentoring in addition to a MEd from Boston University. She is a member of the American Society of Dowsers and practices "active" dowsing which helps to transform non-beneficial energy. She has taught classes at Northshore Community College such as Discovering Your Past Lives, Building With Your Mind, Understanding Dreams, Assertiveness Training and many more over a period of 15 years. Recently Kathy was certified as a Soul Coach® by renown teacher and author, Denise Linn. During her educational and spiritual quest she has expressed herself through art using stones, fossils, meteorites and other objects in jewelry and mixed media art. She's a firm believer that travel nurtures the soul whether actual or armchair and will sometimes share her adventures with you.

Kathy of Ani Sol Designs has two new mixed media pieces at Local Colors Artists' Cooperative using stones, fossils and found pieces. The first is called Universal Understanding featuring a mountain shaped Amethyst, a collaged galaxy background with a yellow calcite moon with mosaic tiles. It offers protection, enhances creativity and brings a strong love of the universe and humankind. The second piece is called Ageless featuring a carved piece of a Orthocerus Nautiloid fossil at least 200 million years old with found pieces of Cape Ann sea glass and pottery surrounded by natural tiles. It symbolizes resilience, timeless beauty and hope.

Time is a running and hopefully not without you. Stop by for your Valentine card and just nsybe a little gift. Remember. Our hand created cards can be specific or generic. In other words, for anyone!

100% of the proceeds to benefit The Open Door Pathways for Children Cape Ann Animal Aid and Wellspring House.

Today we are featuring two of our long-time members Donna Amero, our only founding member of 36 years and Kathy Bucholska (35 years). Donna is a stained glass artist showing her swimming dolphins and sand heart card and Kathy does jewelry and mixed media with her mixed media pendant and well-known crow cards. Ingrid Jochimsen, our woodworker, is featured with her handmade wooden heart card and unique box while Mary Woodall-Jappe who does fused glass offers a handmade glass heart on her card and her beautiful glass piece.

Miranda, our resident Day of the Dead skeleton, invites you to post a remembrance on the ofrenda (altar) by Kathy of Ani Sol Designs.

"I was so taken by the remembrances of those who passed during the Dia de los Mu***os in my travels that I decided to offer it as an interactive art display for you to post your own remembrances" says Kathy. "It's a poetic way of looking at life and the afterlife."

The altar will be up through November 2, so stop by, post a remembrance and look at the new work throughout the gallery.
