One of my “go to” strategies when I get overwhelmed is to take a minute and return to my breathe.
It’s a simple practice to help ground you.
Place one hand on your belly and one on your heart ❤️
Become aware of your breathe.
Deeply inhale through your nose and feel your belly rise and then slowly exhale.
Really feel your breathe moving in and out.
Breath in peace and calm
Breath out stress and overwhelm
Repeat for a few breaths
Allow your breathing to come back to a normal rhythm.
Just sit in stillness for a few moments. Allowing your mind and body to just be.
Allow your thoughts to come, recognizing without judgement.
Be there in the moment, feeling your breath as it is in your body.
This simple practice can be done anywhere and any time you need it. You don’t need to plan for it, have a special place to use it and it doesn’t require you to buy anything.
You already have everything you need inside you.
