The National Athletic Trainers' Association provides this essential guide because proper protection begins with a proper fit. Stephanie has been a patient at our Portland clinic multiple times over the years due to various injuries and surgeries. She is currently coming to physical therapy for low back pain after starting a ballroom dancing class. After a few sessions, Stephanie no longer needs surgery!

She is always cheerful and brings lots of energy to the clinic. She loves to sing along with the music playing in the clinic and even throws in a dance move or two! She even brings our team fresh eggs from her chickens. We love having her positivity in the clinic!

Last Thursday, STAR hosted a CCMC CEU dinner with CorLife and LightHouse Comp Consulting for area Case Managers. Dr. Jason Hutchison from West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute gave an excellent presentation on concussions in the workplace. Thank you to all the Case Managers who attended! Over the weekend, STAR Physical Therapy was excited to host McKenzie Institute USA for their Advanced Extremities Course, instructed by Scott Herbowy, PT, OCS, Dip. MDT., at Belmont University in Nashville!

This intensive two-day course focused on advanced principles and practical applications, including clinical reasoning, problem-solving, case study analysis, patient assessment and treatment, as well as technique work.

What an incredible day at the Gordonsville Play Day on Saturday! Our team had a fantastic time connecting with families in our community at Ivy Agee Park! 🚔🎉

It was heartwarming to see so many smiles as children met their local heroes, explored the touch-a-truck displays, and enjoyed all the fun FREE activities. Events like these remind us why we love serving and being part of the Gordonsville community!

Our CEO, Marty Blair, wrote a letter to the editor of The Tennessean advocating for seniors! We recently hosted Senator Blackburn's team at our Green Hills clinic, and we urge her and Congress to support the SAFE Act to provide no-cost fall prevention assessments for Medicare patients.

As physical therapists, we see the devastating impact of falls daily—and we know they're preventable. This bipartisan bill would improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and decrease reliance on pain medications. Let's protect our seniors' independence and safety!
