and your prayers and support and DONATIONS are so appreciated! ~Trent (Bubby) Hayden Brown was born April 18th 2010. Trent was 4 lbs. 13oz. 21 inches long. He was born 7 weeks early, so he had to stay in the N.I.C.U. for 3 weeks. When he was 9 months old he got sick and he declined in his skills, like holding his head up and completely declined back to infancy. This happened every sickness he would have. He would have to learn the things he lost all over again. Trent now has lost all of those skills and unfortunately now is unable to learn them. When Trent was almost 2 years old he had his first seizure, it lasted over two and a half hours long and the doctor said they were not sure he would survive. Trent was diagnosed with status epilepsy and needs rescue medication to attempt to stop the seizures. A few times the meds did not stop them and he was life flighted to a larger hospital and was on a ventilator. Trent is a fighter! He is the strongest person we have ever known. He also has the most wonderful, happy personality! Last June we were told by his neurologist that his brain stem was failing. She was not sure why, due to the fact we have done every test out there currently to try and figure out why Trent has all these issues. No one knows why. She told us to take him home in love him and take care of him for as long as we have him. She said they don't know when it will shut down. It could be tomorrow or 10 years from now. It's heartbreaking knowing we are going to lose our special, remarkable boy. Because of his brain stem feeling he now has problems swallowing and aspirating, and he is in the hospital quite often with pneumonia and sepsis. He is tube fed and has more problems swallowing, as his brain stem fails he will have more problems with his health and more hospitalizations.
