TOS is a condition caused by compression of nerves and/or blood vessels in the thoracic outlet—the space between your collarbone and your first rib.

Types of TOS:
Neurogenic TOS (most common): 🔰Compression of the brachial plexus nerves.
🔰Venous TOS: Compression of the subclavian vein.
🔰Arterial TOS (least common): Compression of the subclavian artery.

Symptoms:
🔰Pain or tingling in the neck, shoulder, arm, or fingers
🔰Weak grip
🔰Numbness
🔰Swelling or discoloration in the arm (venous/arterial types)
🔰Muscle wasting (in severe neurogenic cases)

Chiropractors often treat neurogenic TOS and mild cases of venous TOS by addressing musculoskeletal misalignments and soft tissue tension that may cause compression.

Common Chiropractic Treatments:
🔰Spinal Adjustments – Especially in the cervical (neck) and thoracic (upper back) spine to relieve pressure on nerves.
🔰Posture Correction – Poor posture can contribute to TOS; chiropractors may recommend ergonomic changes and exercises.
🔰Soft Tissue Therapy – To release tension in scalene muscles, pectoralis minor, and upper trapezius, which can compress nerves/vessels.
🔰Stretching and Strengthening Exercises – Focused on shoulder girdle and neck muscles to relieve pressure and improve function.
🔰Trigger Point Therapy – For referred pain caused by muscle knots.

The coccyx, commonly known as the tailbone, is a small, triangular bone located at the base of the vertebral column. It consists of three to five fused vertebrae and serves as an attachment site for various muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

The coccyx helps support the weight of the body when sitting, especially on hard surfaces.

Several muscles, including those involved in pelvic floor support, attach to the coccyx. It acts as a shock absorber during activities like walking or running.

Injuries to the coccyx, such as fractures or bruising, can occur due to falls or prolonged sitting on hard surfaces, leading to pain known as coccydynia.

The sacrum is a large, triangular bone located at the base of the spine, situated between the two hip bones. It is composed of five fused vertebrae (S1 to S5) and forms the back wall of the pelvis.

It supports the weight of the upper body when standing and sitting, transferring this weight to the pelvis and legs. The sacrum protects the pelvic organs and the lower part of the spinal cord.

It plays a role in the movement of the pelvis, contributing to activities such as walking and running. The sacrum forms joints with the hip bones (sacroiliac joints) and the lumbar spine above it, allowing for stability and flexibility.

Nerves from this area supply:
⚡️Hips
⚡️Buttocks
⚡️Rectum
⚡️Rectum
⚡️Reproductive Organs
⚡️Major Nerves to Legs
If this bone is subluxated (misaligned) it can cause issues like:
🧠 Impotence
🧠 Spinal Curvature
🧠 Piriformis Pain
🧠 Sciatica
🧠 Leg Weakness
🧠 Stalled Labor
🧠 Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction
L5 becomes subluxated through things like:
🚗 Whiplash
👶🏻🤰🏽Birth Trauma
🤳 Text Neck
🙇🏻‍♀️ Poor Posture
🏋🏻 Athletic Injuries
🥃 Toxin Exposure
😰 Stress
