At 15, our worlds are wild Just like perimenopause starts the wild ride, this time is equally wild! This young lady had a goal and i made the decision to train her to achieve her goal….basically, to be a badA€€!

Dear Dad,

Thank you for leaving me this memory. I remember when you came to us at the gym on your 80th birthday and told us you wanted to get your muscles back so you could go to the beach. I was so happy that you wanted to get strong again.

But you didn't want me to train you because you didn't want me to see you as weak, so you allowed my wife to train you.
I understood. I didn't care because I was so excited to see you actually moving again.

Within a few years of this video that I recorded in 2019 in our gym, cancer took you from us. I've watched this video many times over the years.

It's the last and final video memory I have of you.

Today, I realized this video has somehow led me to the place I am in my life today. I am doing exactly what I wanted to do for you to help you reclaim your strength. I am now coaching men ranging from ages 50 up to 80 to get stronger and for some, simply reclaim the strength they have lost due to things like surgery, illness, age and yes, even cancer.

These men are from all different backgrounds and places. Some of them were referred to me by mine or my wife's clients, family members or friends. Others, they heard about me through the grapevine or social media or some other medium and decided they were sick and tired of being OLD, SICK and INCAPABLE. They made a decision to do something about it. Just like I wanted you to do.

I realized that it was too late to save you, but now it all makes sense to me. It is not too late for some and that is why I am doing what I am doing. These men can reclaim their health on their own; they simply need a guide. I am that guide. I am a guide who is willing to fight for their lives all because of you, dad!

Every man I train gets a piece of this video and they don't even know it.

Thank you for not allowing me to train you back in 2019. Thank you for not letting me be your coach. I love you, miss you and I got the message loud and clear. Let's hope THEY do!

What does breakfast ‘BREAKING THE FAST’ look like for coaches? Someone asked me the other day whats the difference between

KETOVORE, KETO AND CARNIVORE

Coach nikki eats:

F-Sa-Su are easier for focused, purposeful low carb consumption. M-Th is much more challenging

NO i do not eat any grains (not even sprouted)
NO i do not eat any added sugars/fake sweeteners.
NO i do NOT allow honey, maple, allulose or stevia (addiction, not nutritional)…honey is a medicine for winter manuca or local raw.
NO i do not eat highly processed foods.
NO i do not seed oils like canola or safflower/sunflower.
NO i do not eat almonds, spinach or sweet potatoes as HIGH OXALATE veggies inflame my joints as i discovered through elimination diet.
NO i do not meal prep 🙄.
NO i do not eat avocados, cashews, peanuts, beans, soy/tofu, almonds
NO i do not add extra salt to my food and i get 1200-1500 mg max sodium a day (cottage cheese, moon cheese, turkey protein sticks…its there already).

YES i eat FRESH blueberries and strawberries, watermelon, cucumbers, mushrooms, zucchini, bok choy, brussels and fresh summer peaches.
YES i eat Walnuts and Macadamia nuts raw or unsalted and roasted.
YES i eat about 2 grassfed steaks a week, airchilled organic chicken breast/thigh/leg with skin, Ahi Tuna, Wildcaught Salmon with skin and duck, lamb and turkey. Bacon on occasion check for sugar and my NOs!!!!
YES i eat GHEE.
YES i eat avocado walnut and cold olive oil.
YES i supplement highly bioavailable potassium, calcium, magnesium, iodine and zinc, D3 (5000) methelated B complex and K2.
YES i do my bloodwork every 6 months to keep me on track.
YES i consume some dairy (not a lot of cheese) like cottage cheese (2%-4% fat), plain greek yogurt (0%-2% fat), half n half and feta cheese.
YES i snack occasionally on plain 2 ingredient pork skins or moon cheese.

Coach albert eats:

2-3 ribeyes or chucks a day or
2-4 burger patties or a combination
Celtic sea salt, redmonds salt
Water
Butter and ghee grassfed only
NO SAUCES. NO SPICES. MEAT ONLY.

NO ONE CONSUMES, SODA ALCOHOL OR BEVERAGES OTHER THAN COFFEE (me) OR WATER

He is full carnivore. I am keto.

In our home, we don’t EAT TO PLEASE THE OTHER PERSON. We eat to nourish our bodies for optimal performance.

The hormone GnRH (an important hormone in both MEN AND WOMEN) is sent FROM the hypothalamus to the pituitary gland.

The pituitary responds, according to the pulse of the GnRH and signals the body to make

TESTOSTERONE in men
ESTROGEN AND PROGESTERONE

Pretty import stuff.

The pulse of GnRH can be dis-regulated by:

Menstrual cycle (women)
Stress
Energy uptake (calories available)
Carbohydrates (women)

Men do better on low to no carbohydrates as this reduces body fat ( that big ol belly) and encourages higher T.

Women need some healthy carbohydrates for their hormones to balance out, starting with GnRH! The amount is dependent on many factors but it can throw off ovulation, cycling, worsen perimenopause symptoms and create issues postmenopause like fast OSTEOPEROSIS.

All humans are not intended to eat exactly the same. I eat a lower carb diet full of low oxalate -low carb veggies, blue berries, strawberries and cherries, air chilled skinless chicken, ahi, salmon and leaner cuts of meat, eggs, raw unsalted macadamia nuts and walnuts, feta, greek yogurt and avocado oil. He eats meat, eggs, salt, butter and water.

Both simple.

He cooks for him or us, the meats. i cook for me, the veggies.

I do not tell him what he should eat. He does not tell me what I should eat. We eat optimally for our bodies.
