I will be co-hosting a weekend retreat with my dear friend, shaman and yogi- Darcy Neumann.

We will be honoring the ancient Gaelic celebration of Beltane. Celebrating and fertilizing the landscape, of ourselves, and planting the seedlings of that which we want to harvest in the fall.

We will nourish you, mind, body and spirit during a weekend of soulful presence, with nourishing food, mindful time spent with the land, cultivating dreams with fire ceremony, journeying to the depths of the unconscious and in deep dive discussion of practical shamanic tools to support you in creating more love and joy by doing less.

I went skiing for the first time in about 20 years and for the second time of my life. Living in North Dakota, partnering with a winter passion is a necessary ingredient for nourishment during the deep rest of the season.

I was excited to finally connect with a ski instructor and have a day outdoors with my family, shredding those bunny hills.

We were on the slopes with the instructor for a couple of hours and nearing the end of our lesson. The ski instructor was my mother’s age, decades older than me. She wore colorful gear with hot pink snow pants and was spry on her skis as if they were her preferred method for navigating the land.

As we were riding the magic carpet, back to the top of the hill, the ski instructor told me, “I have a left-handed compliment to give you. I’ve been at this a long time, skiing since the age of 6 and instructing for about 15 years. I spend a lot of time on the slopes. Most of the women I know that are your age seem to be afraid of trying new things like this. I don’t see that in you.”

Damn, it feels good to be seen!

There was a time when I was afraid of risking new things. I talked myself out of most things that resonated with my heart out of fear. Fear of failure, fear of the unknown and fear of getting hurt, fear of being selfish, fear of pi***ng everyone off, fear of humiliation.

Now I know, risk goes both ways.

There is risk that I may humiliate myself by failing. There is also risk that I may miss out on experiencing what I'm capable of and timeless adventures with my family.

Risk shows me where my desire is.

Risk is both, "Will I fail?" and "What is worth failing for?"

I am a commitment to my desire fulfilled. No matter what.

I am a commitment to YOUR desire fulfilled. No matter what.

I am not waiting until someone shares the same vision as me to begin cultivating more love and my dreams fulfilled. I am a commitment to love, my vision and claiming my power now.

I am not waiting until my children graduate high school to honor my desires. I am a commitment to desire and demonstrating desire fulfilled for those who look up to me most.

I am not waiting to for validation from others to decide what is best for me. I am a commitment to my vision and my dream of service to love and living deeply, no matter what.

I am not waiting until Sunday to surrender to spirit. I am a commitment to turning over my best laid plans to spirit now.

I am not waiting until I have everything figured out to take action. I am a commitment to taking action now with faith.

I am not waiting until the afterlife to receive my vision fulfilled. I am a commitment to receiving all that I desire now, with love and unapologetically.

Contrary to popular belief, the brain is not in control.

90-95% of nerves are carrying information from the body to the brain.

This tells us that the heart is the boss of our being.

The heart of the matter is significant.

The brain sees.

The heart feels.

Love is the optimal state. Positive states can literally renew our physiology, transforming the information the brain receives.

I love when modern science catches up to ancient wisdom.

I am a commitment to being a bridge between both worlds, the intuitive and the scientific.

Personal evolution begins in the body with a yearning, a desire. Without purpose, intention and loving guidance, the brain may put up roadblocks to any desires that are rooted in faith.

It is not good or bad, the brain is doing what it’s intended, to keep you safe by playing small and remaining ordinary.

However, egos are meant to die. To be reborn anew. Again. And again and again.

You, my friend are extraordinary.

A divine week of new beginnings; a new week, new month and new year.

Energy and earth medicine practices teach that you are not just a part of nature, you are nature.

As a practitioner of these teachings, I work deeply with the frequencies of the earth, partnering with the elements, seasons and phases of the moon; harnessing these vibrations to catapult me and my clients into the next season of consciousness and creation.

I do this, because this is what I needed, to go deeper into my healing journey and personal evolution. The depth shamanic teachings and energy medicine provided, was greater than any western medical or clinical practices were ever able to accomplish.

As a mental health professional and practitioner of shamanic arts, I have a foot in both worlds.

Under no circumstances am I saying one is better than the other, both serve their purpose and both can be necessary for personal transformation and growth. To put it lightly, they have different origins to achieve the same goals through different levels of consciousness.

My passion for the healing arts created my devotion to developing sacred healing spaces. I

have a traditional clinician’s office for individual therapy in which most sessions are limited by boundaries of managed healthcare.

I also hold healing spaces for circles of women in which we can directly connect with the earth and elements with infinite time, hours or even days together with the land.

I have found my heart lies in working deeply and intimately, alchemizing pain into power through non-ordinary interventions that are client led through their personal dreams, intuition and spiritual or energetic experiences.

In my upcoming circle, Creative Evolution, I will be guiding a small, intimate group of soulful people, who are already on a healing path into a higher level of consciousness. This will be a three month coaching container where I will teach you how to transition intentionally through each brain wave state using ancient practices, working with the wheel of time and deepening your connection to the energies of the earth.

I’m not waiting until January to have everything that I want.
