To the mom who spends her "resting" time staring at the baby monitor... I see you. 🌸 Creating a safe space for your baby to sleep is one of your first big acts of stewardship. When the blueprint is followed, you can breathe a little easier and find true rest yourself.
The Evidence-Based Fact: The ABCs of Safe Sleep
The American Academy of Pediatrics provides a clear "blueprint" to reduce the risk of SIDS and sleep-related accidents. Just remember ABC:
A — Alone: Baby should always sleep in their own space (crib, bassinet, or play yard). Keep the "nest" clear of pillows, blankets, bumper pads, and stuffed animals.
B — Back: Always place your baby on their back for every sleep—nap time and night time.
C — Crib: Use a firm, flat sleep surface covered only by a fitted sheet.
Safety Check: Avoid letting baby sleep in "inclined" sleepers, swings, or car seats (when not in a vehicle), as these can cause their heavy head to chin-tuck and restrict their airway.
Christ-Centered Encouragement:
It is natural to want to keep watch, but remember that you aren't the only one standing guard. As you lay your little masterpiece down, speak this promise over your home: "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:8). You follow the safety steps; He holds the watch.
We deconstruct the late-night worries and give you the practical "Peace-of-Mind" tools you need for the Fourth Trimester.
