3 of our pelvic floor physical therapists, Anna Nguyen, DPT, Cailyn Bongiorno, DPT, and Lindsey Folds, MSPT, recently attended the Herman & Wallace 2A course, hosted at GVSU, focused on all things pelvic floor PT 💜

The course covered pelvic floor anatomy, bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, manual treatment techniques, and patient education, equipping them to provide the most informed and effective care for their patients.

At Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy, we're committed to remaining experts in our field through ongoing education! 🥰

✨ After 3 years of constant low back pain, Jerry (caretaker of 56 beehives that extracted 135 gallons of honey in 2025) came to our Greenville clinic searching for relief. During his first visit, Carly Day, DPT, noticed he also had an issue with his right knee, which turned out to be bone-on-bone arthritis.

Jerry committed to therapy and his home exercises, eventually gaining the confidence to move forward with a knee replacement. Now, he’s pain-free and back to tending his bees, chopping wood, and caring for his 50+ houseplants. 🐝🌿

Jerry said, “I am forever grateful for being able to do what I love again without pain.” 💙 We’re so proud of you, Jerry! 🎉

Loved connecting with this next generation of physical therapists! 💙 Our team spent time with second and third year students in the GVSU DPT Program, sharing what life in PT looks like and offering insights on Hulst Jepsen. It was great to answer questions, share experiences, and hear their excitement for the journey ahead.

✨ Josie is a Pre-Physical Therapy major at Grand Valley State University 🗨️ Jenni Johnson, assistant center manager, said, "Josie is one of the most responsive technicians I have ever had the joy to hire. She is quick to respond to any email, text, or other request for help. She sees the big picture of our clinic and owns her role within our team. She is full of great life experiences to tell stories (she lived in Africa for three years, among other exciting and fun things!), and her relatable personality, warm heart, and kind soul help to remind patients that their story is not yet finished. She is a great encourager and always willing to lend a helping hand."

🤩 Congratulations on being named "Tech of the Week," Josie!

Our Story

Hulst Jepsen Physical Therapy is a Grand Rapids based, locally-owned, independent physical therapy practice with 16 locations, over 60 physical therapists and nearly 200 employees. Our goal from the beginning, in the year 2000, has been to create a physical therapy practice that first and foremost glorifies God. From day one we gave this business to Him and have sought His guidance in all decisions along the way. It’s crazy that we have grown 15 – 20% annually since our inception while many of our competitors have closed offices and cut staff. This growth has occurred despite the increasing competition around us and political forces against us including:

• Hospitals in West Michigan pressuring their physicians to keep physical therapy referrals in their systems.

• Surgeons hiring their own physical therapists in their offices and encouraging their patients to go to physical therapy there.
