Life isn’t about finding yourself; it’s about creating yourself.

You’re not stuck with who you’ve been. You get to grow, evolve, and become someone new through your choices, your healing, and your willingness to keep going.

Every day is an opportunity to build the life and the version of you that you want.

Create yourself with intention. 💜

Sobriety isn’t a sad consequence, it’s a powerful, proud choice.

A choice to protect your peace.
A choice to reclaim your life.
A choice to show up fully, honestly, and intentionally.

There is nothing to feel ashamed of. Choosing sobriety is choosing strength, courage, and a future you deserve.

Be proud of that. 💜

✨This month's Staff Spotlight: Emma W., Recovery Technician at Walker. Thank you for all your dedication, compassion and enthusiasm to Our Hope and to every client that walks through our doors. We are so blessed to have Emma on our team! ✨

Why do you enjoy working with women or in the recovery community?
I enjoy working with women in addiction recovery because I also am a proud woman in recovery of almost 3 years (July 1st, 2023). In the beginning stages of 12 step programs, addiction was seen as a “man’s disease”. Therefore, making it harder for women to receive treatment. Though we have come a long way since then, we still have much further to go. Helping women in recovery helps me with my recovery by giving what was so freely given to me.

What do you bring to Our Hope?
I bring accountability, compassion, and transparency to Our Hope. Clients and I have a good relationship, and I bring relatability to our women through lived experience.

What is one fun fact about you?
I spend my free time attending 12 step meetings, connecting with friends and family, and being a full-time dog mom with my girlfriend, Heather, to our fur babies, Utter and Drogo.
