Happy July! I hope you're all having a wonderful summer. I'm enjoying the balance of work and time with my family, as kids are off from school.
It's been a while since I've talked about my BioScan practice. The majority of my clients still come for massage therapy, but I think that's largely due to the fact that few people are aware of the value of scans and biofeedback. I do plan on having an informal gathering at work to talk about it with anyone interested in learning more, seeing my equipment, and ask questions. It's a non-invasive way to check in on the body and send the body support.
I speak from personal experience. The biofeedback has helped me tremendously in the past few years. Honestly, I have serious doubts that I'd still be giving massages if it wasn't for my biofeedback. After 25 years as a massage therapist who gives a lot of deep tissue massages, I have, understandably, developed some arthritis in my hands. When I took the training for this and was practicing on myself, I became giddy with excitement. Despite massaging my hands and arms, taking occasional ibuprofen, and getting acupuncture on my hands, the arthritis pain and the tight, overused muscles were causing so much pain. I hated the idea that I might be at the end of my massage career. I love what I do, and I love the people I get to see. I also love how God works in mysterious ways. As I was in my training for BioScan and pondering what my future might hold, I did biofeedback on myself. The first session I did on my muscles of my hands and arms pulled up the name of the muscle I'd been trying to release via massage. That one session of biofeedback took away 90% of my pain! I did more biofeedback to support my hands and I also added frequencies for arthritis. My hands are hand have not been a problem now, for a long time. I'd had to tell a friend, who got some of my deepest massages, that I couldn't massage her anymore due to the arthritis. Well, for the past year I've been able to work on her again. Now, I try to give my muscles support every 2-3 months, just to maintain my hands as I get to continue doing what I enjoy. I've had numerous clients with arthritis in their hands and feet who have found relief through this. It has also helped alleviate pain from whiplash, concussion symptoms, calm emotions, and so much more. It has been such a fun journey, and I get so excited to see how much it is helping some of my clients. Recently, there was someone who had been dealing with chronic pain in their hip for 20 years. Nothing had helped. After 1 session, their pain disappeared. I saw them 2 weeks later and it was gone. I haven't heard otherwise, so far. 🥰 On another personal note, yesterday, I had a couple 2-hr massages to give, but I had some pain in my extreme lower abdomen that felt like an unruly o***y or ovarian cyst. I had just a little bit of time before my first client arrived, so I decided to try biofeedback for my o***y and for a cyst. Typically, my body feels the most change the next day, but yesterday, within 45 min, my pain had disappeared, and I had no problem giving the massages.
These are just a few stories. Each person responds differently, but the results can be quite extraordinary. I'm so grateful that I'm able to provide this in our community. 🥰 I know first hand, the differences it can make.
