Angie's Rally Against Cancer This is a letter I never thought I would write and a battle I never imagined we would fight so, I first want to say my sister Angie Hibbs is amazing.

She is a single mom of two boys Anthony, 20 years old and in the US Army and Jesse is 7 years old and in first grade. Angie worked for Prosser Memorial Hospital for 10 years in the O.R. as a sterilizing technician. It was a job she enjoyed and the staff there became her second family. In August of last year, a mass was found in her lung. Angie had Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and her battle with cancer began. She immediately started chemo every 3 weeks and radiation for 5 weeks, 5 days a week. The radiation shrunk the tumor by 75% and she continues chemo every 3 weeks. The Prosser Memorial Hospital staff has been amazing in supporting my sister. When Angie used up all her sick time and vacation her co-workers then donated their vacation to her. However, after the FAML expired Angie lost her job and also the insurance that was helping with her medical costs. She cashed out her retirement and her and Jesse moved in with our parents so Mom and Dad could help her when she is sick and help her with Jesse as well. Battling cancer has greatly changed my sister’s life but it has by no means changed who she is. She is a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a friend.
