Great Falls Hospital

Great Falls Hospital Delivering compassionate, personalized care to all. Our responsibility as we continue to grow is to create more value for the patients we serve.

Founded in 1917, the Great Falls Hospital and Great Falls Clinic are the fourth oldest medical clinic west of the Mississippi. Originally based on the vision that quality healthcare need not be confined to large urban centers, our mission today is focused on becoming Montana’s healthcare choice. To accomplish our goal, we strive to assess and meet the needs of the 250,000 residents living in the seventeen north central Montana counties that we serve. As a leader in the Great Falls medical delivery system, the Great Falls Clinic works hard as a team of providers to institute positive change for our patients throughout Montana. Recruiting and retaining the most contemporary physicians and employees requires the latest in technology development. We must utilize these available technologies to meet the needs of an aging population and create more value for the patients we serve. The combination of physicians and employees working together to improve patient care is our commitment and can be defined as “Team Care.” This means striving to constantly perform better services and to create more value for the people we serve. One thing that will not change moving forward is that we will continue to have physicians and employees working together to bring the population of Montana the best healthcare possible. Our Great Falls Clinic team will continue to provide leadership in medicine through teamwork.

Men: Heart Attacks Don’t Always Look Like the Movies

When most men think of a heart attack, they picture sudden, crushing chest pain. But in real life, symptoms are often subtle, and easy to dismiss.

If you’re over 45 and have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or a family history of heart disease, pay attention to these warning signs:

❤️ Chest pressure or discomfort

❤️ Pain in the arm, back, neck, jaw, or stomach

❤️ Shortness of breath

❤️ Nausea or cold sweats

❤️ Lightheadedness or unusual fatigue

Many men assume symptoms aren’t serious enough to call 911. The truth? Waiting can be deadly. If something feels different or wrong, trust your instincts and seek emergency care immediately.

To wrap up Heart Month, make your heart health a priority. Regular screenings and early detection can prevent emergencies before they happen.

Thank you, Dr. Karl Guter and Dr. Colleen Marron, for your continued generosity and support of patients and the community of Montana.

Huge thank you to Dr. Karl Guter and Dr. Colleen Marron for generously donating a beautiful fire pit for the Legacy House patio!

Their gift creates a warm, peaceful space for patients and their families to relax, reflect, and find comfort during their healthcare journey.

The Legacy House offers multiple outdoor areas designed to give guests a moment of rest and connection, and this new addition makes it feel even more like a true home away from home.

We are incredibly grateful for our family of donors who continue to make the Legacy House a place of healing, comfort, and community.
