The day has arrived for me to announce that my chapter with Hello Mama is coming to a close. I have tried a lot of things over the years to best serve local mamas and to make Hello Mama a sustainable endeavor, but the truth of the matter is that it just isn't.
My heart is full of gratitude for those who have attended the gatherings I've planned or was lucky enough in which to be involved. To the businesses that partnered with me, shared about what I was doing, and supported this endeavor, I could not have done it without you. And to my own loved ones who have been sounding boards, babysitters, and encouragers: there are no words to describe what you mean to me.
I have been honored to do this work, and I am so proud to have been a part of the moments and friendships that have come of out this community. What a beautiful thing to have had the opportunity to cultivate the kind of deeper conversations and thinking, honest and raw relationships, and heartfelt appreciation for matrescence and the seasons of motherhood that I so crave myself. My passion for mothers and community will remain even as I'm ready to close the metaphorical "doors" of the business.
There are some amazing women who share my passion for community and are building it in their own way—I want to highlight them below:
Bridget with her Mom's Night Out series
Maria .greenbay for walks and mom/kid gatherings
Kayla for mom walks in Baird Creek for playdates and events
If you are reading this post in the future, please know that I'd still love to hear from you and the offer always stands for grabbing a cup of coffee. I love meeting people and being in community with as many mamas as I can. You can reach out via direct message on Instagram or ask one of my friends listed above to help you get in touch with me if you're not on social media.
Lastly, if you have other suggestions for people or businesses creating community for mothers, would you share it in the comments so that this post can be a resource? I hope that you are able to find women who make you feel seen and supported as you build your "village" for motherhood.
