Everyone’s obsessed with the baby…and completely overlooks the woman who just gave birth.

Did you sleep? šŸ’¤
Are you healing? ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹
Have you eaten something warm today? šŸ“

Postpartum isn’t just a phase you ā€œbounce backā€ from. It’s a full-body, full-heart transition that deserves care, space, and support.

As a postpartum doula, I’m telling you that it is okay to set boundaries. It’s okay to say ā€œnot today.ā€ It’s okay to protect your energy while you’re learning a whole new version of yourself.

At The Milk Grove, I hold space for you too. šŸ¤

I don’t take my work lightly.

When you book a complimentary consultation with me, I’m genuinely interested in learning about you — who you are as a person, a mother, a woman, your goals, wishes and priorities. And when you choose to work with me, that trust means EVERYTHING to me🄹

What happens after the paperwork is signed? That’s where a lot of my work truly begins. Behind the scenes, at my little cozy desk in my basement, I’m carefully picking through my pocket of resources, education, tips, and support to fit your to your family and your journey specifically. I’m constantly thinking ahead so that when challenges hit (because they will), you already have some of the tools, guidance, and support within reach instead of scrambling for answers online in survival mode.

I want my clients to feel informed, empowered, and truly supported long before you hit a wall. And while I may specialize in a few very specific areas, I also know the value of connecting families with trusted resources beyond myself — because you deserve that comprehensive care, not just one person trying to do it all. ā™”

This is for the mom who feels her shoulders tense before the next latch.

The mom counting down the minutes until baby wakes up hungry again.

The mom wondering if breastfeeding is supposed to hurt this much.

Here’s what many moms are never told:
A painful latch is often a shallow latch.

When baby is only on the ni**le, feeding can feel pinchy, burning, or toe-curling painful. A deeper latch allows more breast tissue into baby’s mouth, which can improve comfort and milk transfer.

Pain does not always mean something is wrong with you.
Sometimes it means the latch needs a little more support. šŸ¤

Yes, breastfeeding can take time to learn—for both mom and baby—but ongoing pain is often a sign that the latch needs support.

A deeper latch can make all the difference in:
✨ comfort
✨ milk transfer
✨ longer feeds
✨ more confidence

You do not have to white-knuckle your way through every feeding.

Save this for your next nursing session or send it to a mama who needs this reminder. šŸ¤
