We’re proud to now offer play therapy with Daniel Montenegro at Family Psychiatry Practice & Associates! Daniel provides a warm, child-centered space for children ages 1 and up to explore their emotions, experiences, and challenges through developmentally appropriate play—an approach especially helpful for children who struggle to express themselves with words.

Daniel supports children working through emotional regulation, trauma, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, and other developmental or behavioral concerns. His approach is ABA-informed, deeply compassionate, and grounded in clinical understanding. He also partners with caregivers to offer education and support, helping families extend progress beyond the therapy room!

Play therapy offers a unique path to healing and growth by meeting children where they are—on their level and in their language. Appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm.

Meet John Kwon, PA-C, our newest provider at Family Psychiatry Practice & Associates! John sees patients as young as six years old and offers compassionate, evidence-based care for ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns in both children and adults—including medication management and ongoing treatment support.

With a strong academic foundation in Biochemistry, Biology, and Physiology, and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University, John brings clinical expertise alongside a calm, approachable presence that makes it easy for patients of all ages to feel comfortable and understood. His experience in pediatric primary care has shaped his thoughtful, individualized approach to treatment, and he is deeply committed to building strong, supportive relationships with patients and families.

Outside the clinic, John stays active through rock climbing, acro-yoga, and dancing, and enjoys exploring new restaurants—especially those featuring Asian cuisine. He is now accepting new patients and looks forward to supporting your mental health journey with skill, empathy, and care.
