FCCPR Action Zoom Series: Learning About LUCE

Thursday April 16 at 7:00pm

A presentation by Ariana Keigan from the Pioneer Valley Workers Center of Springfield who will share with us important information about the LUCE network. The LUCE network is grounded in principles of justice and equity, with a deep commitment to keeping all of our communities safe through grassroots organizing, information sharing and mutual aid. Their actions include bystander training if there is an ICE presence, verifying an ICE presence and monetary support for those family members left behind.

On March 29th, the FCCPR-Reproductive Task Force presented a discussion and book-signing featuring Loretta J. Ross and Marlene Ge**er Fried, two longtime leaders in the reproductive justice movement and author’s of Abortion and Reproductive Justice: The Essential Guide to Winning Rights (University of California Press).

The event was co-sponsors by Amherst Feminist Generation, Western MA CODEPINK Women for Peace, the Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence, the Abortion Truth Campaign and the Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies department at UMass Amherst.
