🎨✨ We're excited to share that our students are continuing to be inspired during Hispanic Heritage Month! This week, they explored the vibrant world of Olga Albizu, our second featured artist.

As a pioneering Puerto Rican abstract expressionist, Olga Albizu's bold use of color and form sparked creativity and powerful discussions among our youth. Through hands-on activities, students expressed their own voices using Albizu's iconic style—learning how art can be a celebration of identity, culture, and imagination.

Thank you to our incredible teaching artists and staff for bringing her legacy to life in our program! 🇵🇷❤️🖌️

📣 Teacher Workday? We’ve Got You Covered!

While school was out, our afterschool crew was all in! 🎉 Today’s all-day program was packed with fun, laughter, and learning from morning ‘til afternoon.

🌞 Kids enjoyed the beautiful weather with outdoor games, running, and team challenges.
🎨 Inside, we kept the creativity flowing with crafts, building activities, and group play.
🎲 From board games to art stations, there was something for everyone!

Big thanks to our amazing staff for keeping the energy high and the fun going all day long. 💪💖

We love giving kids a safe, active, and enriching space to spend their day— even when school takes a break!

🎶💃 Dance Day Fun with Miss Emonie! 🕺🎶

Today, our afterschool program was full of energy, rhythm, and BIG smiles — thanks to an amazing dance session with Miss Emonie from Vinmarket International Dance! 💫

Our kids had an absolute blast learning new moves, expressing themselves through dance, and most importantly — having FUN together! Miss Emonie brought the perfect mix of excitement, encouragement, and creativity to keep everyone moving and grooving. 🎉

We’re so grateful for the chance to dance with such a talented and inspiring teacher.

This week at Kids Ahead, we're honoring Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring the vibrant work of Mexican-American artist Jaime Dominguez! 🎉

Our students are diving into Dominguez's bold use of color, culture, and storytelling through art. Known for his vivid urban landscapes and depictions of Latinx life, Jaime Dominguez captures the heart of his community with every brushstroke. His work reflects themes of identity, resilience, and the beauty of everyday life.

🖌️ The students are creating their own art inspired by his style, blending traditional imagery with modern expression — and the results are amazing!
