Lionsheart Network LionsHeart Network has been created to further raise awareness and directly support families living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta or Brittle Bones.

Many families travel great distances for treatment and it's expensive. Families with OI or "Brittle Bones" travel great distances to receive proper treatment. LionsHeart Network works to help cover some of those traveling expenses. We partner with local organizations and business to create various fundraisers.Every month, we select a different family to help. We have partnered with Footsteps To Follow to create the "Traveling Tutus, an ongoing fundraiser. Every tutu sold helps an OI family. Sizes range from Preemie to Adult XL. We sponsor the OI Ball, which gives OI families a night of glamor and to be be celebrated, outside the hospital. This event takes place in November. This year, it will be in College Park, MD. We are excited about "The Black and White Affair" 2/22/13. With the help of the Bigg Chat, we will have a beautiful night of Awareness. 2 families will come to speak about their OI journeys. The audience will truly get to see OI life. We raise awareness through our Annual Wishbone Day Celebration, held during the first week of May. Guess who's gonna be a mommy? That's right, our Tabby. Thank you all for nurturing her over the last 20 years. Because of innovation interventions and supportive care, Tabby will be able to deliver a healthy baby girl.

doesn't stop when they get "grown". It's generational. We've been fortunate to have a community locally and nationally. means living. It means loving. It means staying present, leaving judgement behind, and working with who we are.

This far, both momma and baby are healthy. Tabby has normal pregnancy aches and pains. We monitor closely. We meet with tomorrow. We can't rule out type 1, but we didn't see anything on the sonogram. She chose to wait until she was 5 mos, bc she knows she's at risk. I respect her decision.
