Being a doula while pregnant with my second child has been such an eye opener. I know so much more than I knew the first time around. Although I’m a doula myself.. Let’s talk about the doula needing a doula! As a black woman it is very important to have emotional, physical & spiritual support throughout pregnancy, labor & delivery. Doulas educate, advocate and most importantly support your decisions whether it’s having a natural birth, medicated birth or supporting a necessary cesarean. When we say “hire a doula” it means hire a support person or team that you trust to assist you in getting your desired birth outcome! THAT IS ALL, THATS THE POST. 🖤
