A beautiful day for a Breastmilk Soap Making Workshop with 🪄😍 🧼

I requested this class to help offer additional support/uses of breastmilk for mommas who have expired milk. Mama Tina said, “find 3 more people and we’ll make it shake”.

And i shook the table with this one! 🤩 So thankful for the opportunity to connect and build community in birthwork and herbalism today! Be on the look out for some more classes with !

🌿Sourcing Herbs 🌿

Anyone who works in plant medicine knows how hard it can be to get a good plug. And buying herbs blindly online is a huge risk, not just up you’re customers, but your relationship with the plant.

What kind of soil was it grown in?
Was the plant harvested in respect?
Does the herb have integrity e.g. color, fragrance, potency

These are questions worth asking!

All of my herbs are sourced from black herbalists, anywhere from Baltimore, MD to Durham, NC, or from local farmers markets/shops in Greensboro, NC. Here’s a snapshot of my haul from in Durham. Mama Tina always gets me right! Happy Tuesday y’all!
