Tarot, Truth, & Tough Questions: “If Tarot can predict things, why don’t readers win the lottery?”

Well… first, you have to play the lottery and I don’t.

More importantly, that’s not how I work with Tarot.

For me, Tarot isn’t about predicting fixed outcomes. It’s a tool for self-reflection, awareness, and understanding the paths in front of you.

The cards can show possibilities, patterns, and potential directions but nothing is set in stone. Because choice always exists.

Tarot doesn’t hand you winning numbers, it helps you understand the life you’re actively creating.

These are the flowers that keep on giving. They were originally part of the Full Moon Circle . Then I used them on my altar. Now I have flattened some and am about to dry them in the oven to use them for goddess candles.

So much of my practice is about making the most of what I have. This is how I show gratitude for what the universe provides

Tarot, Truth, & Tough Questions: "Why do different readers give different interpretations of the same card?"

Tarot isn’t rigid. It’s relational.

While each card holds traditional meanings, how it speaks in a reading depends on the question being asked, its position in the spread, and the intuitive messages coming through in the moment.

Take the 10 of Cups: I call this the “happy family” card. It can absolutely point to joy, connection, and emotional fulfillment.
But it can also reflect longing for that happiness, the illusion of it, or even the absence of it when reversed or challenged.

The cards don’t change but the conversation does.

I wasn’t planning to share this.

I originally just wanted to give the flowers from the Full Moon Circle we held on Sunday another life.

But as I sat with them… something shifted.

The candle burned bright, then dimmed, then slowly returned to itself.

It mirrored exactly how I had been feeling.
The flame reminded me that even when something feels like it’s fading…it may only be gathering itself to rise again.

This is a part of my practice that doesn’t always get seen.

It’s not about making something happen.
It’s about being present with what is… and allowing it to move, change, and reveal itself.

Sometimes the most powerful moments aren’t the ones we create…but the ones we’re willing to sit with.
