Art therapy offers a supported, symbolic way to explore what’s there.
You do not need to be an “artist” for art therapy to be impactful and transformative. A willingness to lean into your subconscious wisdom and witness what shows up is how it works.
When integrated with EMDR and somatic therapy, art-making can support nervous system regulation, create emotional safety during processing, and help bridge insight into integration. It offers another pathway for the body and brain to process and make meaning, especially during deeper, more intensive trauma work.
