Temeka “Shon” Taylor was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Annette and Dennis L. Benson. Her grandmother, Eva Mae McCullough. Her uncle Calvin Spoon & Her Aunt JoAnn Johnson.

She is survived by her husband James F. Taylor, Sr. Her children De’Andre, James Jr. and Tiana. Her grandchildren Jared, Zelemia, Samaria, and Donte. Her sisters Teresa and Tinetha. Her nieces Shenequia and Da’Jya. Her nephews De’Marcus and De’Mauryé. She is also survived by her Aunts and Uncle: Cathy Smith, Valerie LaGrone, Jeanette Watson, Kimetha Spoon, Mitchell McCullough and a host of cousins.

Michael John DeSandre, 69, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at 4:04 p.m., leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, generosity, and adventure.

Born and raised in Lockport, Michael lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and an unwavering willingness to help others. He worked for many years as an IT Technician specializing in IBM Main Frame computers, a career that reflected both his intelligence and his quiet dedication. No matter how complicated the problem, family and friends knew Michael would patiently figure it out. Michael was the kind of man who made every room brighter simply by walking into it. Whether gathered around a campfire, out on the water boating, hiking a trail, skiing with family, or sitting at a poker table playing Texas Hold’em, he created moments people never forgot. His laugh was contagious, his stories unforgettable, and his presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. If Michael was there, you could count on a good time and plenty of laughter.

Above all else, Michael loved his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend whose caring spirit touched countless lives. He is survived by his brothers, Frank Francis DeSandre and wife Sandy DeSandre, and Lewis Francis DeSandre and wife Terri DeSandre; his daughter, Terami Beth Marshall and husband Jason Parks and son, Michael John DeSandre II and wife Brandi DeSandre; and his son.

He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Caleb Dawson Marshall and wife Deneen Carter, Aiden DeSandre, and Mason DeSandre; along with his treasured great-granddaughter, Ren Nora Marshall.

Though Michael was a non-practicing Catholic, he carried the values of compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and love throughout his life. His legacy will not be measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the countless people he helped, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. The world feels a little quieter without him in it, but the stories, smiles, and memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
