I always enjoy those moments the sun reminds us that each and every day is a gift…the happy ones, the fun ones, the hard ones, the long ones, the crazy ones, and all the in between ones.

☀️ ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🌅🌅🌅🌅🌅

The sun always rises and falls regardless of what type of day it is.

I certainly haven’t figured out this whole life thing, but I am convinced that gratitude, kindness, humor, curiosity, and spending time with your people make the ride more sweet and steady🙏❤️

I’m not as steady and consistent as the sun is, but I’m trying to lean into these behaviors on the daily-regardless of what each day may entail.

How about you? What are you trying to adopt and protect on the daily?

So … this is not the first time I have cut alcohol out completely, and I’m certain that goes for many of us on this 25th day of January.

For me, cutting it out in January adds an extra level of “challenge” to the mix because it’s cold, dark, and kinda quiet post holiday craze.

Those I know who have decided to partake in this have shared they don’t miss it at all. Others absolutely do. And many of us ebb and flow between the 2.

The word can mean so many things to so many different people, and each of us has our individual reasons as to why we love it, like it, are neutral to it, or hate it. We all have our own experience and perspectives.

For me, it’s encouraged awareness of what its presence has been. It’s bubbled up some blind spots. I’ve paid close attention to how my body and mind feel, and I’ve been contemplating what I want to do with this awareness moving forward.

For me, dry January has been a good thing but not always an easy thing. Anyone else out there partaking in ? What have you learned? How has your experience been? Will you do or view your relationship to alcohol any differently going forward?

Every once in awhile, we have a tendency to get distracted and lose sight of what matters. Through the years life has taught me to be more intentional and pay attention and give thanks for what matters.

Tonight my daughter made me some tea and brought it to me. I had set out the mug and tea kettle without paying much attention to the mug I had chosen. She surprised me by brewing the tea and then bringing it to me.

Her act kindness encouraged me to pause and savor this sweet moment, and that’s when I noticed I had chosen the mug that she made me as an art project a few years back.

These beautiful moments are always all around us if we are willing to be open to them and enjoying them.

Here’s to a new year filled with the opportunity to pay closer attention to what truly matters. ❤️🙏

Memory scroll encouraged me to pause and reflect: This was one of the best decisions I ever made to do this training…still as passionate about it as I was when I started 15+ years ago❤️ and a forever student of this modality.

When life throws you into mode, spending time with those you cherish makes it an enjoyable process. Hiking is something we CAN do together out on what was a crisp and beautiful morning!

As the season of is upon us, I’m holding close those whom are near and dear to my heart…whether we see eachother weekly or yearly, or even longer…you always make my heart and mind smile . Grateful for the 20* years of friendship we have as e shared. 🙏❤️

Took the values quiz and my top 3 values landed at , , and . No surprises here 🤣

came in very close to the top 3 and it got me thinking about the relationship between honesty and courage.

It also caused me to pause and think about how any misalignment of our values can be a bit triggering…whether it’s in our impressions of ourselves or of others.

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve still got work to do in maintaining an open mind that there are lessons to be learned in these “triggers,” and I’m certain a healthy dose of curiosity might allow each of us to better understand how much our values can influence our feelings and thoughts.

One thing I’ve learned over the past decade is that values matter whether we are aware of them or not. I believe if we take the time to reflect on our values and align those with our time and energy, we have the opportunity to live more intentional and fulfilling lives.

So how about you? Do YOU know what your top 3 values are? And are you aligning yourself to these values in how you live life?

Somewhere along the way over these past couple of years, I’ve become more aware of loss, grief, and staying open to the lessons in what matters in this life.

I’m paying attention to the “in between”moments, the little things, the silly, fun, peaceful, and sweet moments. I’m reliving and revisiting memories with those I’ve lost and recognizing how I felt in those memories and the impact they had on me.

The saying goes “life is short,” but I’m trying to lean more into “life is now.”

Grief is strange…unpredictable…sneaky…and hard. I’m revisiting and sitting with those beautiful memories, and I’m trying to be more intentional with making my own.

Each day is a gift and each connection we make is what breathes life into this life. I am grateful for the privilege to have shared this planet if only for a specific time with some really beautiful souls ❤️

“Your is currency. Spend it well. Invest it wisely.”

With each passing year, I’m trying to pay closer attention to my own personal reservoir of energy. I’m learning along the way that our energy is a precious gift that doesn’t have an infinite amount available without balanced R&R.

Even 5 years ago, I had a serious YES problem. I filled my plate to the brim with YES’S. Who’s guilty of this out there ? 🙋‍♀️🤨

Guilty of expecting too much out of my own reservoir, only to find myself searching for or trying to create more when the well had dried up long before I stopped trying, pushing, and fighting.

With a bit more life experience, I’m working on paying closer attention to that reservoir and taking the time to and when my body mind and soul have said “enough, please … until you take some time to rest and restore.”

We live in a society that glamorizes , and I absolutely do love to … but not without offsetting that hard work with some down time, spending time with family and friends, and play.

This post is for anyone out there pushing through fatigue or burn out and feeling guilty for needing rest…DON’T. You owe it to yourself and this world to be the best version of yourself and that isn’t possible without time for that recharge. If you are having a hard time giving yourself permission to do so, you can use this post as permission 🤣❤️

Everyday is a gift … it feels more so when we take the time to acknowledge this and 🙏❤️ There is always something to be grateful for…we just tend to put our focus and energy in the wrong places.
