When appropriate, 9-1-1 dispatches emergency medical services to arrive quickly at a patient's location and begin medical treatment onsite. EMTs and paramedics are trained to provide life-saving care, and ambulances are equipped with equipment/medication to dispense first response measures for traumatic injuries and medical emergencies. The emergency department is notified of essential information for a plan of care upon the patient's arrival.

The Hunt Regional internal medicine residency program lasts 3 years, and now includes first and second-year residents. These MDs and DOs are increasing their specialty knowledge while serving our community by caring for hospital and clinic patients under the guidance of physician advisors. The Internal Medicine Residents Clinic is a primary care clinic to treat temporary or chronic medical conditions, often at a reduced cost.
