Did you know we start doing Webster technique on our pregnant mamas as soon as they tell us they are pregnant? Sometimes we even do it in preparation for pregnancy! 🤰🏻

A common misconception is that Webster technique is only meant for women with breech positioned babies or later on in pregnancy BUT, Webster technique can be extremely help throughout your entire pregnancy!!

Jelly beans...

These are just a few real food options when having a 1 hour glucose challenge !

You don’t have to drink the orange Glucola drink, which contains brominated vegetable oil (flame retardant, banned in UK, Japan, and now US by August 2025), food dyes (risks for hyperactivity & cancer), dextrose (from GMO corn) and more ‼️‼️

Glucola is so commonly used because it is shelf-stable and standardized, which makes it easier for your doctor & the lab.

Your provider will likely say this test is “mandatory”.
They may phrase it like, “at your next visit, we’ll be doing the glucose tolerance test”, without explaining why it’s done, what the alternatives are, and that you have the right to decline 🤯

This is where knowing your options can be really helpful 💡

If you want to be screened for gestational diabetes (which is recommended) but want to avoid this drink, you can choose a whole food alternative as described above. You can also check your blood sugar and chart what you eat if you want to see how you’re processing glucose, but want to avoid the test altogether.

Simply tell your practitioner of your preference so that they or the lab can plan accordingly. You can also decline, which you may get some pushback on, but is totally your right. 🙋🏻‍♀️
