Being a small business owner means you get to deal with unexpected shenanigans.
All this rain and storms caused a leak to be exposed in my room! 🫣
Had to cancel all of today’s appointments to get it fixed. 😫
Good news they are fixing it found, three small holes in the roof and will be replacing the tile.
Loss wages are never fun and absolutely hate rescheduling my clients.
But, I am thankful for your understanding and truly cannot wait to see you guys soon.
Thank you for your continued support in my small dream.

People see an $75, $80…massage and think the therapist is pocketing the full amount .
I wish that were true 🫶🏼

The reality is that “1 hour massage” rarely means 1 hour of work.

For many massage therapists, 20 to 30 hands-on hours a week is considered full time because of the physical demand on our bodies. And those hands-on hours don’t include:

• laundry
• sanitizing
• charting and client notes
• booking and scheduling … marketing!
• supplies like oils, creams, sheets, detergents, and tools, ect.
• continuing education
• self-care so we can keep doing this work long term

On an $75 session, after commission and taxes, my take-home is closer to $35/$40 before business expenses are even added in.

I do this work because I genuinely care about helping people feel better. But I also think it’s important for clients to understand what goes into each session behind the scenes. Every appointment supports far more than the hour spent on the table.

I say this to say, what I charge isn’t what I “make” or get to take home and what I charge covers everything surrounding your one hour on the table with me.

April had me a little MIA—but for good reason 🤍Between vacation, continued education, a work transition, and saying goodbye to one of my sweet pups, it was a full month in every way.

I’m back and so excited for what’s ahead‼️

I went and saw Bree from .indy got that summer time glow!! Absolutely love her and the super sweet person she is!!
