Thank you County Bank for giving back to your community 💚

Nominate your favorite LOCAL charity and join the Countybank DO MORE GOOD movement this summer! ☀️

Now through May 31, nominate your favorite local charity (must be a LOCAL charity in one of these 5 towns: Greenwood, Anderson, Greer, Simpsonville, and Greenville). Nominate the charity by commenting on this post on Facebook or Instagram. Based on your comments, we’ll select the top voted-on charity in these 5 towns! These 5 charities will each be eligible to receive donations from Countybank when you use your Countybank debit card this summer (June, July, and August)! To qualify, the charity MUST be a registered 501(c)(3) organization and MUST be headquartered in the Upstate of South Carolina. (Hint: don’t nominate a national or international charity – let’s keep it local! 😉)

What will the charities receive? 🤔Countybank will track the number of our customers’ debit card transactions in June, July, and August. That includes debit card swipes, tap-to-pay, mobile wallet payments—every time a Countybank debit card is used! For EVERY debit card transaction during these months, we’ll set aside 1 cent per transaction to give to the local charities! The total amount collected will be divided among the 5 selected charities each month. 💰

Think 1 cent isn’t much? Community banks like ours can often see 10,000 debit card transactions per day, which means in just 1 day if you are using your Countybank debit card, then we could give $100 per day. After 30 days of $100 a day, that becomes $3,000 to our local charities in the Upstate. The DO MORE GOOD movement will last through the end of August. 10,000 swipes per day over 3 months would mean about $9,000 to our local charities, and we hope that number will be even higher. If you use your Countybank debit card more often, you’ll increase the total number of swipes and DO MORE GOOD in the community! 💪

We’ll announce the 5 charities who received the most votes in early June. Every month (from June to August) we’ll track the total number of debit card transactions from our customers and we’ll share that number each month so you can see the impact of using your Countybank debit card. We’ll also be posting photos and videos to social media showing those contributions being made to the 5 charities. Come DO MORE GOOD with us! 🤍

We are advocating for our seniors! The South Carolina Council on Aging Directors hosted a luncheon for your state house representatives to tell them services such as Meals on Wheels, transportation and keeping our senior centers open do matter. You must keep the funding coming to support these essential services in our community.
