Jennifer Morrow, her mom, and a group of volunteers recently handcrafted 17 blankets for our residents through Jennifer’s volunteer program, Stitch Some Support, at the Southport Library. From hats and scarves to cozy blankets, the group makes items to bring comfort to people in need.

Jennifer chose GVS in honor of her grandfather, Bill Michael, who spent his final years here. “Everyone was so kind and wonderful to him, and I wanted to give back. You guys are amazing!” she shared.

These handmade gifts bring warmth, love, and a reminder of the caring community that surrounds our residents every day.

Suzanne Thorn – July Employee of the Month
This month we celebrate Suzanne Thorn, who just marked her two-year anniversary with Greenwood Village South. From her very first week, she jumped in with enthusiasm, lending a hand in housekeeping at the Pavilion and immediately making a difference.
Suzanne consistently goes above and beyond for our residents, offering warm attention and genuine connection. She takes the time to truly know each resident, engaging in meaningful conversations and often stopping to visit those who have relocated to the Manor or Pavilion - whether temporarily or permanently - even on her way home from work.
Her versatility and positive spirit shine in every corner of the EVS department, where she willingly helps wherever needed. A few months ago, Suzanne experienced a significant personal hardship, yet still showed up for our residents each day, balancing her work responsibilities with the demands of visiting and caring for a loved one.
Her dedication extends beyond her regular duties - she has voluntarily watered plants, cared for pets, and stepped in to support residents in countless ways. Suzanne embodies the Extraordinary Impressions promises every day and is truly a valued and trusted member of our GVS family.

Here we Grow!
The month of July was a pinnacle for the future of Greenwood Village South! We experienced a surge in reservations for the planned Flats and received ten (10) new reservations in one month.
This brings our reservation count to 32 of the 42 Flats reserved. 76%. This advances our ability to move plans forward and start the steps to begin construction. More details and dates of importance will be coming soon.

Did you know the Flats project will also expand the community amenities and enhance the already wonderful lifestyle offered at GVS. Below is an example of what is coming for all.

Greenwood Village South and Girl Scout Troop 608 joined forces in a heartwarming initiative to support the Johnson County Animal Shelter, demonstrating the power of intergenerational collaboration.

Together, residents and scouts collected essential items like food and blankets for local animals in need, sparking meaningful connections and a sense of community. This inspiring project showcases the impact that can be achieved when individuals from different generations come together to drive positive change.

This week’s Wild West Theme Dinner was a blazing success! 🔥 From the moment guests saddled up, it was all about bold flavors and cowboy charm.
