Employee of the Month – January 2026
Joe Beiers, Plant Services & Teena Crist, GVS Cares
This month’s Co-Employees of the Month represent the very best of Greenwood Village South. During the largest snowstorm our area has seen in decades, when travel was unsafe and conditions were uncertain, Joe Beiers and Teena Crist were among the first to step forward. They stayed overnight, worked tirelessly, and ensured our Residents, Team Members, and campus remained safe, supported, and cared for. Their ownership, sacrifice, and service embody the Hospitality Promises at the highest level.
Joe Beiers has been part of Greenwood Village South since 1990, leaving his mark on nearly every corner of campus. Starting in Dietary and later joining Plant Services, Joe has grown with the community and consistently answers the call when help is needed. A skilled painter and finisher, he is equally valued for his reliability, versatility, and willingness to step in wherever needed, from covering extended security shifts to leading snow operations with pride. Joe’s connection with residents is just as meaningful; he is a trusted, familiar presence who listens with empathy and treats everyone with respect. His decades of service reflect trust earned and hospitality lived out daily.
Teena Crist joined GVS Cares in July 2020 and quickly became a cornerstone of compassionate, resident-centered care. As one of the earliest members of the team, she helped shape the culture and expectations that define the program today. Teena consistently demonstrates the Hospitality Promises through her selflessness and unwavering commitment, often staying overnight during severe weather to ensure residents never go without care. Her dedication provides comfort to residents and stability to her teammates, especially in challenging moments. Outside of work, Teena enjoys camping and spending time with her granddaughter, bringing the same warmth and devotion to GVS each day.
