KEITH KOERS

Keith joined the GVS Cares team in September 2023, though he was no stranger to Greenwood Village South. Having visited many friends and fellow church members in the Pavilion, Keith witnessed firsthand the compassion and dedication of our staff - and felt called to be part of it.

A former firefighter, Keith brings with him a heart for service, a steady presence, and a genuine love for people. His strong faith guides the way he cares for others, and he is known for taking time to connect with both residents and team members in meaningful ways. His calm, patient nature and thoughtful suggestions make life easier for those he serves, and his kindness is felt by all who know him.

Keith is also known for his trademark greeting. If you ask him how he’s doing, you’ll hear: “Fine, now that I see you!” - and you know he truly means it.

We are incredibly blessed to have Keith as part of our GVS Cares team, and we proudly celebrate him as our August Employee of the Month.

Excellence in Skilled Nursing Care

Since May 2016, the Pavilion Skilled Nursing Facility at Greenwood Village South has maintained an exceptional regulatory track record, consistently performing well above national standards in CMS annual health inspections.

Four deficiency-free surveys earned in 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2025—an achievement attained by fewer than 12% of skilled nursing facilities nationwide in any given year.

An average of just 1.3 deficiencies per inspection since 2016, compared to the national average of 6–8 citations per survey (CMS).

All citations remained within the low-severity range (C–E), with no findings indicating widespread issues or resident harm. By contrast, more than 30% of facilities nationally receive higher-severity tags (F or above).

This outstanding record underscores Greenwood Village South’s commitment to quality assurance, clinical excellence, and resident-centered care, reinforcing its reputation as a leading provider in Indiana’s senior living and skilled nursing landscape.
