This page is dedicated to stopping the passage of Gulf Breeze Ordinance 01-17, which will prevent the prescription and lawful possession of medical marijuana in Gulf Breeze. On November 8th, 2016, The People of The State of Florida overwhelmingly passed Amendment 2 by a 71%-29% vote which, per the wording of the ballot summary, will allow medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating

medical conditions as determined by a licensed Florida physician, in addition to allowing caregivers to assist patients’ medical use of marijuana. The passage of this amendment is a hallmark victory in the southeast for the right of The People to choose the manner in which they treat their ailments; ailments that have until now been treatment-limited by government authority. On January 3rd, 2016, in an act of political cowardice, the Gulf Breeze City Council unanimously passed the first reading of Ordinance 01-17 to prohibit the advancement of what for many is a medical necessity, in deference to the regulatory guidance of The State of Florida. Our local community, which is particularly in tune to the understanding that local problems require local debate and solutions, must stand up for the rights of those who are in need of groundbreaking cannabis-related treatment, in addition to the rights of the individual to decide which medical treatments are right for them in collaboration with trained medical professionals. Like and Share with all of your friends, and spread the message that Gulf Breeze will not stand for this needless encroachment of local authority on the forward medical progress on the Gulf Coast! The Gulf Breeze City Council disagrees with the assessment of those in Pensacola who decided to consider dispensaries as pharmacies. They cite questions and concerns regarding zoning and city planning, but is this just a ploy to create a status quo of economic prohibition for small business which can only be lifted when they agree to a revenue-heavy regulatory environment?

"We often talk about politics on a state or national level and the need to get involved through voting, writing legislators, or even participating in demonstrations. What I don't see as often, though, is encouragement to actually head for City Hall and see what local officials are doing."

Meet Charlotte and Zaki: While they used to have hundreds of seizures per week, thanks to CBD (derived from cannabis plants) Charlotte has between 0-1 seizures per week, and Zaki had gone 106 days without a seizure as of the filming of the video below.
