***UPDATE***
He did not get the job, but I am super proud of him for trying!!!

Super proud of our young man, he is going on his first job interview today, he is a little mad because of what he has to wear(he lives in shorts), Mom is being mean and won’t let him wear his favorite ball cap to the interview. I said we can compromise, bring the hat in the truck and put it on as soon as you are done.

Our young man continues to exceed our expectations proving those that have doubted him wrong! He ranked up at Boy Scouts and earned his robotics, Engineering and Fire Safety Merit badges, he did a 7 mile backpacking hike and overnight camp out with his Troop! His biwling Team won 1st Place and He wrapped up his Freshman year at his Micro-School and got 7 award certificates! He will be going away to Boy Scout Camp with his Troop for a week and then heading to Texas for a week of summer camp there!

Super proud of our young man, he bowled in the State Youth Bowling Tournament yesterday and even though the boy he got paired with for doubles got hurt and had to pull out, Dak didn’t miss a beat. He bowled over average all three games and then in singles he blew his average out of the water with a 165, 165 and 136!

Our young man is adjusting to having his 15 year old Niece and 13 year old Nephew now living with us. He became an Uncle at seven months old! We celebrated his 16 birthday almost a month ago and a couple of weeks ago we had a bowling birthday party and he enjoyed spending time with his friends from bowling league and some family! Other than him thinking he can boss his Niece and Nephew around and wanting to control the living room tv all of the time, he is doing well.

Super proud of our young man, he had a Community Service opportunity last night with his Boy Scout Troop and last Saturday they had a Back to School cookout fundraiser. One of his Troop Leaders came up to me last night and said she was super proud of him, she said he was super helpful at both events. This is a new Troop for him after a two year break from Scouts due to some of his old Leaders and some of the older boys not being supportive of him and belittling him. We saw the post for the interest meeting for this troop and let me tell you, maybe 15 minutes into the interest meeting, he decided he wanted to join, I have nothing but the utmost respect for all the Adults and kids in this Troop, it is totally worth the 40 minute drive each way! God has definitely blessed us with great groups of people for our young man! Bowling has been huge for him for years now, this year we had a Micro-School open up and he is loving it and now this amazing Boy Scoug Troop!

I had a meeting at our local department of health yesterday to discuss what they can do to help our son! Turns out this wonderful lady is friends with my Summer Bowling League Teammate and our Son’s Youth League Treasurer(same person)! She is going to help us get back on Medicaid(we got booted after the COVID mandates were lifted on Medicaid), she is going to help us find a new Therapy office since the old one has not switched him to another Therapist that can bill our Primary Insurance Company, She also will help us file for disability for him. Such a huge burden lifted off my shoulders, she also is going to help us get an Advocate for School!
