What should you do if you hear the sound of a heartbeat in your ear?

Typically what that means is there is some sort of turbulent blood flow happening in the ear and it could be rooted in a few different areas.

Dr Karimi discusses how there could be numerous causes for this experience however, there are some diagnosis more non-surgical — stemming from causes like inflammation, viral, or autoimmune vs more severe causes.

If you run into a situation where pulsatile tinnitus was caused by the narrowing of a blood vessel, then we can use a stent to open up the clogged area to increase blood flow to the brain.

If you’re experiencing that heartbeat sensation in your ear, schedule a consultation with us now se we can assess the right solution for you and create a straightforward path.

Our inaugural NJBS Grand Rounds: Multidisciplinary Spine Case Discussion.

Dr. Peter Schmaus and Dr. H. Gregory Frankel led an evening of real-world spine case review, including discussion of complex deformity, conservative management, and surgical decision making.

Thank you to the physical therapists and chiropractors in our community who joined us for thoughtful dialogue and shared clinical perspective.

This is the first of many.

The right solution is not always surgery.

Dr. Roth discusses how pain does not have to be met with a surgical solution. Many patients do not realize there are effective options like cognitive behavioral therapy, distraction techniques, and relaxation therapy that can support pain management alongside physical therapy and, when needed, surgery.

The right solution starts with the right approach. At NJBS, thoughtful care comes first.

Where we feel pain and where it originates could stem from two separate places in the body 🩻.

Dr. Khan walks through the time a patient was experiencing leg pain but it actually was a result of a spinal disc crack in the back.

By giving a comprehensive breakdown with a spinal model, Dr. Khan was able to show the whole picture of the issue with options on how to move forward.

At NJBS, our main goal is to get you to the quickest recovery possible, with you feeling comfortable and understanding that your wellness journey is one large focus, that’s made up of smaller pieces that ladder into your health.

A $20 foldable chair is often times better than your couch. Yes, you heard us.

Dr Schmaus discusses the benefit of what lumbar support really entails, citing how a couch typically is too soft or too deep for good support.

What can you do to mitigate bad lumbar support? It starts with better habits. Get up every 30 minutes to walk around whether you’re working from home or watching TV, you back will thank you later.
