This is the peptide clarity you actually need!

Why is Dr. Khan talking about treatments that lack proven results? Because at NJBS, transparency is everything.

Peptides could potentially be a good vehicle for your wellness journey, but the truth is, they aren’t proven to help your recovery. We’re here to give you the facts, not just the trends.

Understanding where our patients are at and how we can recommend proactive wellness before surgery or treatment is the best start to your journey, so we can get you to your goals.

Back on the ice in six weeks after a major back surgery seems impossible, but not for Dr. Vingan.

Dr. Roy Vingan recalls one of his first experiences working with artificial discs, which was a patient who suffering from spinal narrowing and disc thinning, with debilitating arm pain.

As an athlete, he didn’t want a solution that would sideline him for months, so Dr. Vingan utilized a motion-preserving approach designed for a faster return to life.

The result? It was precise, bloodless, had zero infection rates, and allowed the patient to avoid the long wait for a fusion to occur.

Just a month and a half later, his patient was back to playing ice hockey at full speed.

At New Jersey Brain and Spine, our goal is to get you mobile and back to the activities you love as quickly as possible.

You are only as healthy as you are today.

While we often associate strokes with long-term health issues, they can happen to anyone—including marathon runners and those with active lifestyles. Dr. Joseph Carnevale highlights that while a healthy diet and exercise are crucial, they aren’t the only factors.

Understanding your family history and staying consistent with medical maintenance can help identify hidden risks, such as a hole in the heart or pre-existing conditions you may not be aware of.

Don’t wait for a symptom to speak up. Our neurosurgical experts at New Jersey Brain and Spine are dedicated to comprehensive care and prevention.

A simple rule for a healthier spine.

If you spend most of your day behind a computer, Dr. Schmaus recommends the 30-30-30 rule: For every 30 minutes you spend sitting, get up for 30 seconds and walk 30 yards.

This small habit is one of the most effective ways to prevent chronic back pain before it starts. While most back pain improves over time with movement and basic care, staying proactive with your spinal health is key to long-term mobility.

Don’t wait for discomfort to become a limitation. If you are struggling with persistent pain or want to build a personalized prevention plan, our team is ready to help. Visit the link in our bio to schedule your appointment at one of our New Jersey Brain and Spine locations today.

Surgeons are human first!

Dr. Clar shares some candid things that keep her grounded to balance out the busy days.

It might seem cliche, but exercising and doing activities are some of her favorite things that allows her to turn the brain off and feed it simultaneously.

When you come from an environment where you have to be sharp at all times, stimulating your brain afterwards with activities that allow you to just “be” makes all the difference in being able to reset and tackle each day.

What are some of your favorite ways you stay grounded? Leave a comment below 👇

Your back getting stiffer with age… isn’t always a bad thing.

Dr. Roth states, as discs lose height and hydration, the “facet joints” can hypertrophy—this is often part of facet joint syndrome. That added stiffness can help reduce pain, but too much of it can limit mobility and create newer issues.

The goal isn’t to be rigid—it’s to find balance.
And that comes from having the right amount of strength to support your mobility.

At NJ Brain & Spine, we help patients understand what’s changing in their spine and build a plan that supports both movement and stability.

Have you noticed your back feeling tighter or less mobile over time? 👇

Dr. Khan states that’s actually normal! We understand that this is a foreign experience to the body never before taken. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we’ve done hundreds, if not thousands of consistently successful surgeries at NJBS to put your mind at ease.

Our goal is simple, remove discomfort or pain from your body, provide relief physically and mentally, and provide a long-term wellness roadmap, helping you feeling like your best self again.

Hearing “bad news” once can feel final… but is it?

Dr. Vingan says he sees patients coming in all the time for a second opinion already scared, thinking there are no options left.

The first step isn’t rushing into treatment, it’s understanding the root cause of your problems. Then, we start building a personalized plan that’s clear and makes sense for you to back to your daily functions.

At NJBS, our goal is to explain when it’s necessary for procedures and simplify your care during recovery.

Because the body isn’t broken beyond repair… it just needs the right approach.
