We are excited to welcome Katie Lewis as our new HR Generalist at Monarch Communities!

Katie brings over 13 years of HR experience, specializing in Leave of Absence and Workers’ Compensation. She is SHRM-CP certified and holds a Master’s in Human Resources Management from Western Governors University. Known for her empathetic approach and commitment to compliance, Katie is passionate about building positive workplace cultures that support employees at every level.

Outside of work, she enjoys time with her two children, her dogs, and staying engaged with global affairs.

We are excited to welcome Laura Weisberg, MS, RD as our new Dietitian Consultant beginning September 1st! With over 25 years of experience in senior nutrition, Laura will support communities across NJ, NY, CT, and MA.

She will partner with culinary and wellness teams on menu planning, staff training, resident counseling, and memory care nutrition — helping ensure residents enjoy meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable.

Chef Aaron took inspiration from Cheeseburger in Paradise and put his own California twist on it—topping juicy burgers with fresh avocado, peppers, and onions. They were such a hit that people came back for seconds! And of course, we were glad to have the perfect excuse to enjoy it all outdoors!

Yesterday we tried mushroom coffee. With a brand name like Mud Watr, we were skeptical…However it was cozy, creamy, and definitely not what we expected.

This Thursday, we were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the brand-new Bayada Therapy Gym! We’re grateful for this wonderful partnership and excited to continue working together to provide the best care for our residents!

Today, we celebrated Sculpture Gardens Day with a trip to Grounds for Sculpture! We had an incredible time exploring the artwork, guessing what each sculpture was made of, and coming up with creative names for them. It was a day full of laughter, imagination, and discovery!

Grazie mille to Lisa from Haddon Home Care! Not only did she treat us to some delicious Italian goodies, but she also shared her knowledge of Italian language and culture. We had such a wonderful time and can’t wait to welcome her back for more!
