Our favorite entertainer, Robert Twine, was back in action today as we danced, sang along, and even accompanied him on percussion instruments! Our residents love his talent and charisma, he plays the great songs that they know and love!

The one and only Elvis Presley delighted our residents and visitors with a performance of his greatest hits. Elvis gyrated, crooned, and proved he is indeed the undisputed king of rock n’ roll! Our residents were amazed that Elvis took the time to personally visit everyone following the show, it was such an exciting event, we can’t wait to bring him back!

One of our favorite traditions here at Viva of Hagerstown is our annual fireworks viewing party on the Fourth of July. We were thrilled and amazed as we enjoyed the show with snacks and delicious blackberry and cherry cider! What a great closing to a wonderful day!

Toes were tapping as beautiful melodies filled our community from the musical stylings of Hagerstown Choral Arts, Inc.! Thank you so much to the Grace Notes for bringing us a lovely concert. Seeing our residents sing along to classics like Amazing Grace and Over the Rainbow always brightens our spirits. We love sharing the gift of music with our residents. 🎼

OH SHUCKS 🌽

Country music coming through the radio and some good ol’ fashion corn shucking!

The residents loved helping us prepare for our Father’s Day cookout (come enjoy with us Saturday beginning at 11:30) by helping us prep the corn on the cob.

Residents kept telling us about their memories of shucking corn growing up. From helping their parents on the farm to growing up in Kansas; our residents reminisced husk deep!

Very busy hands this morning in the community making bird feeders for our courtyards.

The residents love watching the birds munch on their creations and cool off in the bird bath just outside our dining area window!

We have been loving the warm weather, there are so many fun and rewarding activities to do outside! From outdoor concerts to leisurely walks, gardening, and everything in between we encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the great outdoors!

Our residents loved our cymbal expo where they tested the tones of many Zildjian cymbals! They were amazed at the differences in sound between the different kinds and sizes of cymbals. We finished the program with a viewing party of drum solos by Neil Peart and Buddy Rich! What a great way to spend a rainy afternoon!
