Judy Center Early Learning Hub Ruth Ann Monroe Primary School The Judy Center helps families prepare their children to be ready for school. Judith P. The goal of Judy Centers is school readiness.

Hoyer Early Child Care and Family Education Centers, known as “Judy Centers,” offer a wide range of services for children age birth through Kindergarten and their low-income families. What makes Judy Centers special is that their services are offered under one roof either at or very close to Title I schools. In addition to offering this convenience, Judy Centers use a “whole child” approach in add

ressing the many variables that can impact a young child’s readiness for Kindergarten. Some of the services Judy Centers offer include:
-Early childhood education
-Family activities
-Health care
-Adult education
-Identification of special needs and early intervention
-Child care
-Parenting classes
-Family literacy

By offering a holistic approach and making it as easy as possible for children and their families to access services, Judy Centers prepare young children for school, help adults become better parents and benefit everyone in Maryland by improving the quality of life for families with young children. The month of April was full of emotions!!! 🥰😳😭🥴😃
We learned that modeling and naming our feelings is important as parents/caregivers of little ones! We read “Should I Share My Ice-cream?” with piggy 🐷 and elephant 🐘 and played a game where we pretended to share it!
The “Giggles and Scoops” ice cream shop was a hit! Although the icecream was a bit pricey 🤣

March came and went! 💨
We focused on attending to stories, using our body to 🎶 sing and read along to 🖐🏾 finger plays and rhyming stories, went on a 🐻 bear hunt and retold the story through painting 🖌️🫟, and made sure to *think Spring* 🌸🌷
April, we’re ready for you! 😍🤝🙌🏽
