Books & Bears Providing comfort to children at Meritus Medical Center and advancing literacy in Washington County. When I was 13 I wanted to create my own charity program.

I was inspired to create Books and Bears because of my father. My father had been diagnosed with cancer when I was 8yrs. old. I used to bring him a blanket and read him a books before he went to bed. I realized that all the tribulations my Dad was going through, were suffered by kids as well. Therefore, to provide comfort to kids during these troubling times, I created Books and Bears.

Hello Everyone: November is the month of Gratitude and we are thankful to be able to continue this program for our local community. We are working on some new intiatives for Books and Bears and combinding it with TLC (Taylors Loving Care Program) for 2017 - stay tuned for more details. Had an awesome weekend volunteering once again at the Peach Festival!! So glad the Ruritans are still a proud sponsor of my Books and Bears program.
