Flu Activity Is Increasing in Hales Corners

We’re seeing a rise in influenza cases in our community. The flu can spread quickly, but simple steps can help protect you and your family:

✔️ Get your flu shot
✔️ Stay home when you are sick
✔️ Avoid close contact with sick people
✔️ Cover your coughs and sneezes
✔️ Wash your hands often

If you or your child develop flu symptoms—especially fever, cough, sore throat, or body aches—consider staying home and contacting your healthcare provider if symptoms worsen.

⚠️ Weather Safety Reminder for This Evening ⚠️

We want our community to stay safe as temperatures drop quickly Thursday afternoon into the evening.

Wet roads may freeze suddenly, creating icy and dangerous driving conditions. There is also a chance of brief snow squalls, which can reduce visibility and make travel difficult.

What you can do:
• Slow down and give yourself extra travel time
• Avoid unnecessary trips if possible
• Check in on loved ones who may need help getting home safely

Conditions can change quickly. Please take care of yourself and others as we head into the evening.

Parents — a bulky coat can create extra room in a car seat harness. Thinner layers provide the same warmth, and the harness will still fit snugly. 🧒✔️
